10/10 for not doing it while it's busy and getting in people's way.
Anyone knows which AMC is this?
PSA for theater employees: Prepare for Pressure: The Untold True Story of D-Day on May 29
Just a heads-up for everyone working theaters: Pressure: The Untold True Story of D-Day releases May 29, and if your location gets it, be ready for a potentially different crowd than the usual weekend audience.
War films based on real events can pull in older audiences, history enthusiasts, veterans and military families, school groups, and people who may not be regular moviegoers. That can sometimes mean more questions at box office and guest services about showtimes, seating, accessibility options, premium formats, military discounts, and historical content.
Might be worth checking staffing, auditorium prep, and making sure everyone knows where the film is scheduled if your theater is carrying it. Better to have everyone aware ahead of time than get blindsided on opening weekend.
Anyone else expecting this to be busier than people think?
They changed the Balcony rules?
I just got to the theater to see Passenger and I usually always sit in the balcony which is 21+ and the guy told me today that they are no longer doing that and that anyone can sit up here… kinda annoying cause it was nice to have just “adults” up here but why do you think AMC has done this? I ask the guy this question and he just said “it just cause don’t have check ID’s”…
Should I wear my Din Djarin costume to see Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu?
First time I receiving a ratings card after a movie!
I left Mandalorian & Grogu last night and everyone got one of these! How often do they do these? I’ve gone to opening days before but this was the first I’d seen of them.
Edited to add: If anyone is curious I gave it a D
Outrageous prices for popcorn buckets!
Stopped by concessions for Mando and Grogu last night to see the new buckets and was just shocked at these prices?
Have recent buckets always been this high? I couldn’t believe how much the AT AT was like are you kidding me??
EDIT:
I’m flabbergasted people are normalizing this, I have been going to movies for years and never have I seen prices for movie merch reach these heights. We need to do better!
Austin, TX - Tech Ridge 10, 5/21/26 - Other worldly for Mandolorian opening
They had to close due to thunderstorm blackouts and lost all of the opening night business 🥺
Best Horror Movie of 2026 Without Question
Truly a Oscar worthy performance by Inde Navarrette that I truly don’t think that could be topped this year
Space Jam Bummer
Went to go see Space Jam yesterday at the single showing available at my local AMC at 7pm and it still had not started after 30 minutes.
No trailers or anything, just this screen with music playing.
Finally, around 40 minutes in, the lights finally turned off and the movie started to play but with no audio.
An hour after showtime a staff member finally came in and announced they were sent a corrupt file which is why there's no audio and since there was no other showings all they could do is offer refunds but I got them with A List so didn't really need the tickets back, but they offered to refund the popcorn.
The worst part was I had just popped 2 gummies right when I thought it was maybe going to start and they hit on the ride home 😭
But hey, at least I got the Space Jam cup, courtesy of my wife 🥰
Can I bring a lightsaber to the theater?
Considering bringing a lightsaber to The Mandalorian and Grogu for an AMC viewing. It's a Galaxy's Edge lightsaber, so non-retractable. Is it permitted?
Universal Citywalk IMAX
yes, it is the only true IMAX that i have gone to (other amc imax that ive went to are Grove, Americana, and Westfield Century) so the screen is really great.
but i just noticed today, that it has probably the worst seat (comfort-wise and visivility-wise) among all of those i visited.
at the other theaters, you can basically almost lie down and still have your view not blocked by the one in your front. Universal on the other hand, will have your view blocked even if you sit upright. and im not even short.
HMHAS Movie
Hi, I’m really hoping there’s a second wave for the movie since I literally couldn’t make it for any of the showings and REALLY want to go see it in theaters! Do we think there’s a chance for a second wave? Or a chance it comes out on streaming services?
StarWars Unlimited Cards at Mando Movie
I was wondering how the StarWars unlimited cards were being distributed at the theatres today and tomorrow. I have an interesting situation. My dad lives in a different state and plays the StarWars Unlimited card game. It’s how he has met friends and has found his community. There is only one AMC theater in his state but it’s 2.5 hours away. He and his friends aren’t able to make the drive and want the cards. I want to bring him back some cards (aka score daughter of the year) but I was curious if they are handing them out before the movie or how to make sure I secure one. Any information is appreciated! Thanks!
XL at AMC?
My local AMC (Altamonte Mall in Orlando Florida) has both an IMAX and Dolby screen and today they added this sign to their largest regular screen.
Mandalorian and Grogu popcorn buckets
i know they go on sale tomorrow does anyone know if that starts at opening or for 1st show time?
Saw Obsession today at noon, with a newborn baby and 6 year old
They weren't my kids, instead belonging to the people in the back of the theater. Nothing offsets a sense of dread like a baby cooing.
Why do people do this?
No showings of Tuner in the Washington DC area?
Not a single one? Come on AMC!
Also, they shouldn’t show previews months in advance for movies that they won’t end up showing.
Any other cities surprisingly not getting Tuner?
