I use moonlight/apollo and absolutely love it. Serves my setup quite well. Recently started using my Xbox series x for moonlight and enjoy streaming at 4k 120.
The problem?
I kinda want to sell my series x.
Are there other boxes that allow for 4k 120 moonlight i can plug into my tv. Seems wild to keep an entire gaming console just to stream to pc, but i dont want to sacrifice my streaming capabilities.
Figured this group has the best chance at troubleshooting my problem. I'm using an egpu with xbox ally x. when im docked to my eGPU, none of my screensaver options except a black screen will start.
My setup:
ASUS ROG XBOX Ally X
Aoostar Ag02 eGPU Dock
TUF 5070 Ti GPU
When i go to my screensaver settings, classic options like Bubbles and Ribbons wont activate. Even when i hit preview, nothing happens. Blank screen WILL pull up a blank screen. The photos option will display saved pictures in my photos folder. BUt the other (my preferred) options seem broken and I dont understand why.

I don't have enough technical know-how to understand this one myself, so can someone explain it?
Why can some eGPU docks hot swap while others can't on the same system?
I had the razer core x chroma previously and it would hot swap no problem. Plug, unplug, keep going.
Switch to the Aoostar ag02. Using it with a 5070ti and my Xbox ally x. If i remove without disabling first in device manger? System crash.
Now i read that the core x v2 hot swap works fine?
I wouldn't waste the money switching. I've gotten used to what i need to do. I put device manager in my taskbar. I'm guessing some smarter intrepid folks have a script that automates it. Just curious what the difference is.

The 2nd image shows how much performance i was costing myself using an outdated Razer x Chroma TB3 eGPU dock .
According to timespy this is better than the "worlds best" for the z2e + 4070super....i just don't know how to submit mine.
Probably dumb question:
If I'm using the FSE and launch into Steam Big Picture, is there a way to setup a button to open the STEAM menu and not the game bar?
When I'm on my normal windows desktop, i have a back button set to be the "Steam" or guide button that focuses on Steam and launches big picture. When I'm in Steam, it works as the Steam button. And then my command center button opens the game bar.
But when i do full screen mode and try to do this i can't make it work.
Ok. So I'm buying a used Xbox ally x tomorrow. My plan is to swap in a 2TB SSD before i ever use the ally x and do the cloud restore.
In this scenario, do i need to have any concerns about bitlocker / encryption?
My assumption is no since I'm just doing a fresh install on a new device.
