Replacing timing belt
I've got a 2014 Chevy sonic lt 1.8L that I recently had to replace the water pump on. Ever since, there's been a noise it hasn't made before the replacement, and my buddy thinks it could be the timing belt.
Everything I look up says to replace the timing belt I need to replace the water pump as well, so my question is that since I've already got the new water pump, will I need to change it again for the timing belt replacement.
