Canadians, what neuro testing have you done? Public or private?

I've been struggling with the executive functioning needed to book appointments so don't have much that shows actual deficits vs just me reporting symptoms.

I contacted a few private neurosychologists and can't afford that path. I just did a cognitive communication test with a speech language pathologist that was helpful. What else can I do to objectively measure cognitive issues? My doctor hasn't referred me anywhere either, so I'm wondering about public offerings (I suppose they have neuropsychs now that I think of it).

I'm autistic so don't feel my body's sensations very well (poor interoception) and when my brain gets overstimulated I go non verbal. I'm struggling to get care cause I can't tell people what's wrong so I'm trying to get tests that show on paper where my cognitive deficits are.

IME psychology exam, but disability not mental health related?

I've just reached my change of definition date and things are getting overwhelming. I'm in Canada. The insurance company just informed me they would be requesting an IME psychological exam. My disability is from a concussion and I have measurable deficits in everyday functioning, cognitive and physical.

Has anyone else experienced this? Everything I've found online is for people making claims related to mental health, which is not a part of my claim at all. I'm stumped why the insurance company would order this vs a physical exam or something that tests vestibular functioning.

All i can think of is they're seeing if me and the multiple medical specialists I'm seeing plus my occupational and speech therpists are all lying about my endurance and deficits, which seems ridiculous? I'm just trying to figure out what they think they're measuring with this exam.
