I bought these jeans least year in Japan and at the time they fit great, but now that I've worn them 100+ times the waistband has stretched out and I am no longer getting the high rise fit unless I tuck in whatever I am wearing on the top.

Would these be worth tailoring or should I buy a new pair? The waistband is 15.5 inches when flat and I think I would need to take off 1 - 1.5 inches which I don't know if the fit would be ruined. If I buy a new pair these would be used as my jeans for tucking in clothing since they still fit decently, not perfect, in that regard
