Had a chat with a “colleague”. Not sure how (and I mean this in a commendable way) but they got accepted into our project that required 3 years of experience, with NO experience in the field.

I asked how. They fabricated their resume to be chosen for the job and self taught themselves via YouTube videos in 3 days while onboarding because “the pay looked too good”

Honestly I think my field is a skill that everyone should have beginner level confidence. So I can’t complain that they took the time to teach themselves but it made me wonder, are we doing it for the pay or for the experience?
