Bought my first Harley off of marketplace for $5k it’s an 07 Dyna Street Bob. Motor and pipes sound good for it all being stock/Screaming Eagle and he put a brand new battery in it, got it tuned, and recently did maintenance before selling it.
I have a small amount of concerns. I’m not worried about the tires I’m gonna ride them for a bit then get them replaced. There’s some extra wiring that can be a problem with one of the rear turn signals but I plan to swap them out for black bullets. My main concern is the welding. Is that just Harley quality welding?
I plan to completely change the bike up. New front end, an ST style fairing, vivid black paint, black out all the chrome, Trask pipe and intake, higher Legends suspension, ceramic coat the wheels, 110” S&S engine kit with 585 EZ start cam, performance fuel injector, performance starter, maybe an ignition relocation, and whatever other parts people recommend. Even though it’s my first bike, with it being a Dyna I plan to keep it for as long as I can, as well as build a small collection of a couple of other models.
Is this bike not worth throwing money at? Will it be good as is for the next 6+ months until I start swapping everything?
