Why did you choose your Dyna 103 TC (like me) vs the M8 Lowrider S? (Any year)

I’ve got a 2017 Dyna street Bob (proudly) and I just wanted to get some inputs and insights on the reason you personally choose the Dyna VS an m8 Lowrider S. I’ve had moments of possibly trading it up towards a newer Lowrider S, but I love the stripped down and raw feel of the twin cam blacked out street bob. I’d love to hear each opinion on why the Dyna is better or reasons why you choose to ride a Dyna in a city, long distance, club, solo or 2 up setting. I know these are more city prone bikes, however I ride mine long distance proudly.

Give me the details!!! It just hypes me up to remind me why I continue to stick it out with my ‘17 Dyna Street Bob and why I should continue putting money into parts for her…

Derby Cover Gasket missing?

Hey all,
Yesterday,I did the 3 oil change on my fxdl myself for the first time. When I opened the chain cover there was no derby cover gasket or at least nothing that is looking like the one I bought for replacement. The bolts were tightened extremely strong and I had a hard time to get them off. The last oil change was done by an authorized dealer which I thought is trustworthy. With your experience, what do you think?

Harley convertible fairing help

Got my hands on Harley convertible fairing cheap.
It did not include any mounting hardware. Does anyone know what these fairings used to mount to?

I had an idea of getting quick release clamps and maybe be able to make it fit.

Any help is appreciated!

The bike I’m fitting it to is an FXDCI 2005

Dyna builds where’s the turn signals ?

I see a lot of dyna build like from thrashin supply. I was just curious where are the turn signals ? I know you can get a tail light with the turn signals built in but most of the taillights look stock? I like the look of the no turn signals but a lot of states have turn signal laws. Just curious if they have any or hidden somewhere.

T-Sport 🤝 Jurassic Park

Ran home and picked the Dyna up over the weekend, brought her back up to Virginia Beach. Cruising around and spotted this awesome thing....couldn't pass up a photo op.

Looking for input

I’ve been taking my 2015 fxdb cross country almost every year for a bit now. I’m coming up on 40k miles and I’m starting to wonder about reliability. Last year I had some issues on my trip but was able to get it back home. I’m planning this year’s trip through a lot of remote areas through the south west, about 5-6k round trip and camping. I just replaced my compensator and rotor but any advice on things to check other than regular maintenance? This is my first time keeping a bike for this many miles. Thanks

99’ FXDL New bars and risers

Just a little over 3 weeks in and things are moving along. Went from barely rideable to smooth sailing. It is insane how terrible these factory bars are!

2007-2010 Lowrider Questions.

After riding a 950 V Star for years, I’ve decided it’s time to buy a Harley. I like the looks and prices of the Lowriders in that age bracket and was wondering what to expect reliability wise out of a Harley that age with anywhere from 6-13,000? What’s the ride like? Anything to look out for?

01 T-Sport

She's come a long way over the last ten years, saved her from a crackhead chick. Thankfully it came with a ton of the OEM parts minus the fairing and the bags but price was right....paid $2100 If I remember correctly. Deviant fabrication fairing from a few years back, unfortunately he doesn't make them anymore. Best option for nearly a 1-1 replica and leather pro bags I've had for probably 12 years, still look great and function like they are new.

Gonna have the front end rebuilt here soon, fairing shell painted with some OEM concord purple paint I got stashed away.

Jack used for fall away test

I'm going to be doing a fall away test on my 08 Fatbob soon and I'm wondering if my standard motorcycle jack will work? I also was wondering if the whole bike needs to be lifted or just the front wheel...thx in advance...

Magnum BYO brake line failure

All, I need help/options. I did the extended damper rods for an 05 sportsportster I just got to be a little hooligan bike. Problem is, I've only found that goodrige will make a set with a longer lower section. Plenty of options for taller bars, but not longer tubes/extended damper. I went with Magnum's BYO line, because everything else I've gotten from them is awesome, but 3 out of 6 compression fittings failed! Anyone have experience with these? 2 stripped out prior to locking, and one straight up cracked, which makes me unsure of the other 3 that appear to be engaged. One other note, the 3 that are locked still allow the brake line to rotate around the male end of the fitting, is that normal for these? AN fittings would have been much better than this proprietary stuff
