Shuddh desi romance

Shuddh desi romance

Wow! What an underrated movie. I remember this movie used to air a lot on Sony Max but I never watched it for some reason, frankly it didn’t look that appealing to me at the time. But I finally decided to watch it yesterday since it’s on Netflix now.
I had never seen an SSR movie before this, and omds what a phenomenal actor he was! He was so natural, it was like he was living the character. I don’t know how to explain this but he had some kind of sweetness and genuinity, where you just get so invested and forget about everything else.
Parineeti as always was charming too. I wish she was still doing mainstream movies, I loved her acting especially in Hasee to phasee.
Now I get what you all meant by how, a certain someone, ruined Vaani’s face. I had seen her in Befikre before and I was actually shocked as to how different she looked! Her natural face was perfectly fine. Her acting too, was good.
I forgot how much I missed these kinds of light hearted movies until I saw this. The low budget movies were actually a vibe.
The plot was so good and new, it was refreshing. The soundtrack was amazing. The performances were so natural and convincing, Rishi Kapoor’s character was the perfect fit too. All in all a fantastic movie.
And finally if anyone from YRF is reading this you guys need to lock tf in fr. I don’t know what’s up with all the spyverse bs but you all fr need to shove that mess and start focusing on making movies like these. Bring the old YRF back!

Jagga Jasoos and what bothered me

I just finished watching Jagga Jasoos yesterday and what was concerning for me was the love story.
As per what I understood Jagga was a school-going boy, as his age wasn’t mentioned I’m assuming he was around 16,17 and Shruti was 25, this was hella creepy tbh.
The movie had a scene where Jagga tried to kiss Shruti when she was asleep but he couldn’t. It was unsettling but I let it go since it was a movie thinking that Jagga, a schoolboy, just had a crush. (Still very wrong what he did)
What the final straw for me was in the end when Jagga did it again and Shruti actually kissed him back. What even were the makers thinking.
Even if he was 18, he was still a boy going to high school whereas Shruti was a 25 year old woman, who had even finished college and had a whole career.
The movie would’ve been just fine without a love story honestly. Shruti could’ve been just a friend helping him out, it would have been wholesome too. But no Bollywood cannot resist even when it is this bizzarre.
I really hope I’m not the only one who had a problem with this.
