Looking for honest feedback on my PC utility app (NexusHub)
Hi guys, I would gladly like review about an app that I made, yes it's made with Ai, yes the graph feel Ai and no I won't change it simply because I can't and doesn't have the competency.
It still been a hell of a ride and did put hundreds of hours in the app.
I mainly use VScode and the added Codex extension for the making.
The learning curve with the app been really fun.
How to structure the app (did many refractor with that has the Ai hate when it's not modulated properly..like a human I guess)
Chosing the rigth services: did opted for Electron+Vite+React, JSX, NSIS, C++ and C, I18N and many other things that made me wonder in what hell I was putting myself into.
Stage everything step by step
Security : Obfuscation, sanbox, managing token, complain with platform restrictions
Compatibility: make research on a wide variety of brands (intel, amd, nvidia) with all the public information they give to make a proprietary Fps motor (that part was insane)
Argb, still many write path to do (if you have argb please share your report haha)
I know that most of y'all hate Ai, but I've made that with love and seriousness, yes I'd love that the app make me earn money, of course like anyone, but so far I've spent more on the project that I've earn and I'm ok with that (Certum certificat, Codex pro, some hardware upgrade, registering has a business etc)
So yeah, it's really important for me to try to reach the Itch community for at least some validation and even maybe change some mind.
The reson why Nexushub exist is that I wanted to free users from proprietary apps, reduce mental load, and offer a unified experience. You open NexusHub, and everything you need to manage your setup and play is right there.. clean, simple, centralized.
The app is pretty much done and in polish stage. I’m looking for real constructive and respectful feedback to improve the experience, adjust the interface, and maybe new upcoming features.
If you try the app, even a quick impression helps a lot.
Thank you to everyone who will takes the time to try it.
* Nota Bene: the version in Itch is the MS version so if you want DM me I can send the full version for serious Review.
**And also in response of the previous post that I deleted (I suck at Reddit xD)
I know exactly where I’m posting and I'm ready to have rock throwed at me.
I do consider myself the creator of the app. AI is a tool; it didn’t wake up one morning and decide to build NexusHub on its own.
The app belongs to my company and is my intellectual property, just like any software developed by a dev for a business.
The nuance is that Codex acts as my employee, not the author, not the owner.
I’m the one who designed the architecture, structured the modules, refactored the project, handled the integrations, security, drivers, packaging, and compliance. AI write the code, but it didn’t replace the decision‑making or the actual creation process.
