Defeat demons and WEAR their flesh to grow in power.

Hey guys! We have been working hard on our game SKINATOR, and we updated so many things about it that we decided to create a new trailer for it.

There's a free playtest demo on Steam going on! Have a play!

I would love to know if you understand anything about it just by watching the trailer of if you feel like playing it. I'll talk a little bit about it next so if you will answer to that doubt do it before reading what follows 😂
Skinator is a turn based combat where you "steal" one of the body parts of your enemies and use it to replace your own. Each body part has special abilities and synergies to discover.
It is something like He is coming but with deep tactical combat. If you like that game or Slay the Spire you will probably enjoy skinator. It has a nice twist to it!

Right now we are doing our outreach and marketing and learning on our way thorugh it. Is not easy to get noticed! If you know a youtuber that could enjoy a game like ours let us know!

Anyway. Thanks and hope you enjoy the trailer. 🙏🙏

I know that they are not wishlists, it's even better, 100 downloads!

Question: is it helpful to provide more color options for neon frame/box?

I’ve already provided grayscale for both the box and frame, but I am curious to know if it is helpful to provide several different colors for both. Is this nice or just unnecessary? Thanks for your feedback.

The first combat mechanics in my game

Hi everyone,

Here are some short gameplay clips from my horror roguelike game, set in 1980s Japan.

Part of the combat system involves entering commands via the command line, as shown in the video. The key goal of this concept is to let the player interact with the entire lifecycle of a scene (moving objects, creating, transforming). You’ll build your commands from scratch and unlock new ones, gradually reshaping the world around you and defeating enemies.

Currently, 25 commands have been implemented, but you’ll have the ability to create custom commands or improve existing ones. Another feature of the gameplay is that the commands themselves will depend on which friends you choose in the game (and their personalities), or you can go it alone.

Is it normal for new accounts to be shadow banned?

Hi all, I recently registered to itch to publish a small game I made

I was able to upload the game just fine but I've gotten absolutely zero views on it so far outside of my own + couple of friends (since I sent them the link directly), it didn't appear in the recently released tab and currently does not show up in search results

Besides that, I also can't seem to post any comment or rating, no matter what I write in them, because my account is apparently flagged for suspicious activity and any post needs moderator approval (none got approved so far)

I've received no warning from itch or prompt to verify my account or something, just the usual mail verification which I obviously did

I wrote to support yesterday, but got no response so far. I saw more than a few threads online of people with the same issue but I couldn't find any clear solution

Any clue on what I might need to do?

If you have some spare time, I’d really appreciate it if you could try my small game project and share your thoughts on the story, performance, and visuals. Your feedback would be very valuable for its development, thank you.

You can find the download link and game information below.

also If you encounter any lag or crashes, please keep in mind that I’m still working on optimizing the game.

Apparently Google wants to go the way of Apple

More details here, they do a great job of explaining the problem, and how you can help push back against it: https://keepandroidopen.org/en/

But the bottom line is, it's going to get a lot harder (or in the future, potentially impossible) to install games and apps from third party websites and platforms like itchio or F-droid

Which One Do You Like More?

This is one of the bigger enemies from Loot Dungeon, our dark fantasy incremental roguelite ARPG.

The whole game is built around short dungeon runs where death is part of the progression. You crawl in, grab loot and perks, try to make a build work, get destroyed by things like this golem, then use what you earned to unlock permanent upgrades, new characters, deeper floors, and more systems.

I’m trying to make the enemies feel heavy and readable in pixel art, especially bigger monsters like this one. Would love to hear what you think about the vibe and design.

And if the game looks like something you’d play, wishlisting it on Steam would help us a lot:

Made some new props for the Infernal Dungeon

This week I just release the props for the Infernal Dungeon theme, now together with the tileset from pack 1 you can make some good levels easily. Next week I'd make some animated props/objects so the level will become even more cool and diverse.

You can check it Infernal Dungeon Props Pack 2

"Snake in the Grass" - Teaser Trailer (Created with Google Gemini)

This marks the first time I've ever made an actual trailer for a game! The original image, and this trailer, were created using Nano Banana 2 and Veo, respectively. The background music was created using Suno Music, and is also the main theme of the game. Any feedback is both welcomed and appreciated!

I’ve reached that strange stage of development where I’ve played my own game so many times that, honestly, I can no longer tell what feels intuitive and what doesn’t 😅

Hi everyone!

After working on the same project for so long, my brain has memorised every puzzle, every mechanic and every design decision... I’ve certainly stopped seeing my game the way a real player would.

That’s why I’m currently looking for testers for my project. Not just bug reports, but honest feedback from people experiencing the game with a fresh pair of eyes for the first time... 🙏🙏

I honestly believe that external playtesting is one of the most important parts of game development, and one that really puts you in your place.

I’m sure other developers here know exactly what I mean 😅

Free Card Templates

Who doesn’t want free stuff? Plug this into your game, use it as placeholder art, play with color options to figure out palette, etc. Want to see more added to this pack? Your feedback is always appreciated. What could make this better? Comment below.

I finally finished version 1.04 of my first larger game made with raylib + C++.

It's a fast-paced arcade game where you dodge enemies, collect powerups, survive boss fights, and unlock higher levels.

Features:

  • Boss fight system with projectile attacks
  • Multiple enemy types
  • Powerups (shield, speed boost, double points, extra life)
  • Level progression + save system
  • Gamepad support
  • Audio + UI system
  • Dynamic difficulty scaling
  • State-based game flow (menu, pause, countdown, bossfight, game over, etc.)

The whole project was built from scratch in C++ using raylib.

Working on this taught me a lot about:

  • game loops
  • collision systems
  • entity/state management
  • timers
  • balancing difficulty
  • organizing a larger codebase

Big thanks to u/leifbron for helping me normalize the player movement vector properly — movement feels much better now.

Some parts are definitely still messy, but finishing a complete playable project feels great.

Would love feedback from other raylib devs.

We just dropped a free demo for Blipzz, a 2D shooter where you phase between two dimensions in real time

Hey guys, my friends and I have been working on Blipzz on and off for about 3 years, and we finally dropped a free demo on itch today.

It's a fast-paced 2D action shooter built around one core mechanic: switching between two realities in real time. You use dimension shifting to dodge attacks, reposition during combat, and solve platforming puzzles that can't be solved in a single world.

We'd really appreciate it if you tried it out.

Working on a demo for itch.io and finally happy with how everything looks

Hey everyone

I'm working on Peak or Die narrative game about leading a team of adventurers up a deadly mountain.

Been heads-down preparing a demo for itch lately. It's the first time everything — the UI, the characters, the backgrounds — is coming together in one place, and I'm genuinely happy with how it looks.

Still a lot to do, but it's starting to feel like the game I had in my head when I started. Will share the link once the demo is ready.

If you're curious in the meantime, you can wishlist on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4273370/Peak_or_Die/

Anyone else find that building a demo is weirdly motivating?
