A lightweight Dwarf Fortress is what Playtesters keep calling my game

King in the Mountain is a cozy mining game where a fallen dwarven king rebuilds his kingdom, you send dwarves on expeditions to gather resources, then build up your base inside the mountain, digging tunnels instead of roads.

I honestly set out to make something small and cozy, but the feedback from early playtesters keeps circling the same phrase: "it's like a lightweight Dwarf Fortress." I'll take that as the compliment of a lifetime.

Try my cozy dwarf-digging King in the Mountain

Hey everyone! I’m developing King in the Mountain, a peaceful, combat-free strategy game about digging out a lost kingdom. Think Dungeon Keeper but focused purely on the satisfying rhythm of mining, upgrading your dwarves.
