My chaotic arcade runner Horse Runner DX just hit a 96% "Very Positive" rating on Steam - just in time for the Summer Sale! 🦄🤗

What is Horse Runner DX? It's a fast-paced, chaotic arcade runner heavily inspired by classics like Robot Unicorn Attack, Dino Run, and Canabalt. You build your own starting herd of up to 3 horses or unicorns, dash through procedural pixel art landscapes, dodge obstacles, grow your herd, and try to survive the escalating speed to hunt for high scores on the global leaderboard.

The game just received a massive wave of updates driven by player feedback, completely polishing the visuals, the camera tracking, and overall gameplay feel to make it as chaotic and smooth as possible. Thanks to the community, it actually just hit a 96% "Very Positive" rating on Steam!

I've dropped the Steam link and more details in the comments below!

PS: I'll be around in the comments if you have any questions or feedback!

A look at the cozy Norse city builder we've been building over the last two years

Hi everyone!

We're a small team of three working on Thveit, a cozy Norse city builder inspired by Scandinavian folklore.

We wanted to share a short clip of our latest progress, showcasing building a small settlement in autumn. We've been focusing on making the world feel peaceful and alive, with changing seasons, villagers following their daily routines.. and cats. 🐱

We're also putting a strong emphasis on Norse folklore, and we're excited to share more about that side of the game soon.

We're still deep in development, but we'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts. What stands out to you, and what would you like to see in a game like this?

After 8 years of not touching my first Steam game, one random sale made me patch it. Giving away 8 keys.

Hey everyone,

I made a small Steam game called Platform Golf back in 2017/2018.

It was the first game I ever released on Steam. I barely marketed it, and over time it more or less disappeared.

For about 8 years I did not really touch it. A few days ago I noticed a sale. First one I had noticed in a while. It was just one sale, nothing huge, but it still made me think: oh, people do still find this game sometimes.

So I came back to it after all these years.

It was strange to revisit something I made so long ago. Some parts were rough, some parts were weird, but it also reminded me that even back then I had managed to finish and release a real game. Looking at it again mostly made me realize how much you can learn in 8 years.

So I gave it a small update.

The game should now run better on modern systems, the physics feel smoother, and a few old issues that annoyed me are fixed.

Then I gave it to a friend of mine to test, and she played it like she did not want to stop even though she really should have gone to bed. That made me weirdly happy.

Platform Golf is still a small and slightly quirky game. It is a physics-based arcade golf game with 50 levels. The early levels are easy, but later on it gets a lot more challenging. Quick resets, weird angles, and levels that somehow still hold up better than I expected.

I guess that is the nice part of coming back to an old project. You realize you got better, but deep down you are still making the same kind of games. Just with a bit more experience now.

Anyways, to celebrate the update, I am giving away 8 Steam keys.

First 8 people who comment and want to try it get a key by Reddit message.

Thanks for reading, and kind regards to everyone who still enjoys small, weird games made with a lot of trial and error.

I made a game where you control a flying flip flop and try to hit someone with it

Been working on the game feel and levels for my mobile game Flip Flop Rage.

The idea is pretty simple: throw the flip flop, control it while it's flying, avoid obstacles and try to hit the target.

I recently expanded it to 50 levels and I'm currently polishing the game for testing.

Would love feedback on the core gameplay. Does controlling the flip flop look satisfying?

My indie game now has local co op

I'm currently recording a nice gameplay video to show off the coop system. For now, it's only local but I'm already working on implementing online and hopefully it'll be ready soon

It's a very simple update but I know people are going to enjoy playing with friends and family

About a month until the official demo release of my Marble Deck Builder Boardgame based on Mancala!

In this game you can expect the traditional momentum building in power and capabilities with rogue likes and deck builders, as well as strategies and different ways to win and defeat your opponent by either collecting the most marbles by the end, or reaching a score that eliminates them.

Currently working hard on polish, and some other changes as I prep for the official demo release, and the main release towards the end of the year.

I'm building SpinKnight as a solo indie developer

I'm building SpinKnight as a solo indie developer, and this video showcases the latest progress on the game. The core mechanic revolves around mouse-only controls, which creates a fresh and intuitive gameplay experience that sets it apart from traditional platformers. The isometric perspective combined with pixel art gives the game a charming retro-meets-modern visual style that I'm really proud of.

I believe great games are shaped by their communities, so I've created a Discord server where YOU can directly influence the direction of SpinKnight. Whether it's suggesting new mechanics, level ideas, art styles, or just hanging out with other indie game fans
everyone is welcome to join the conversation.
