Ive been doing solo Roleplaying every night for the past 3 days and I just been trying something different just to keep things saucy. I’ve been playing the same character a dwarven thief assassin named Grimwald who is tasked by a noble named Count Rugal to retrieve an Abbott who escaped from their local church for inappropriate activites toward House Rugals family. He has succeeded in kidnapping him and is now on his way back to Rugal with his query.

I started this game playing Knave 2e and I just started with WhiteBox. I will play another night in White ox and then move into Shadowdark. I am doing this because it is giving me the opportunity to play multiple OSR themed systems at the same time and I’m learning as a part of my tabletop game development. Has anyone else done this? And what other OSR game systems should I check out?

I’ve been actively playing my new solo rpg Apothacarum and after a few stop/starts I decided to roll a new character. Over the last 6 months I’ve been rewatching the entire Star Trek franchise on TV via streaming and thought I could do a full solo campaign in Apothacarum using the system in the Star Trek universe.

Right now I have been playing four days straight since having 3 teeth pulled. So this has afforded me the time and opportunity to dive in deep in this campaign. Below are pictures of my campaign in my Apothacarum/journal.

The setting is outside of the usual norm also. I decided to start the story on Vulcan in the DS9/Next Gen era in 2374 shortly after Star Trek Generations. My character is named K’Vol; a Subaltern Vulcan Medical officer who is a part of the Vulcan Expeditionary Group (Vulcans version of Starfleet) and serves as part of a newly formed crew on the science vessel T’Pán helmed by Captain T’Nor and Sub-Commander Sahal.

I am considering creating a Substack detailing these sessions. I am playing by Episode/Session format like on TV. Right now I’m currently playing Episode One: Session Three. Let me know what you guys think and if you have any questions. Do you think this could work on a Substack?

A small peek into the journal of the current solo session I just finished playing. On the left page is my tactical grid map and what I use for visuals. And then a drawing of an event that happened in the session. A few unexpected things are happening…

Unfortunately while filming my session I didn’t realize my camera died so now I have to figure out another way to post the report on my channel. That’s the only annoying thing.

Getting ready for #Supersolosept and preparing to play and film session 3 of Guyver Generations using my TTRPG system Rising Legends.

This past week I did a lot of connecting cards for a few clients. Some were more easier than others. As always I end up learning something new with my experimentation of color effects in the markers I use. I hope you guys enjoy what you see here!

Even though I have a 3D printer, I’m still finding it extremely fun to scratch build my own terrain. So this weekend I built 6 fences a wall and a small tower structure to add to my collection. I used some bits and bases I made from my 3d printer. The fences I learned from Wylochs Armory and I think they turned out great so far. When I get ready to paint I’m sure they will come out even better. I would love to know what you guys think of my terrain thus far!

This is a mix of both terrain board implementation in my game WARSHARD that I am currently play testing with my wife and some of the kill shots from the battle we played. As well as the terrain I built in action. I still need to figure out how I can film battle reports being a one man show. If anyone has any tips let me know.

Per request of the folks that have either purchased or requested Apothacarum content, I have made the first of 2-3 videos on my solo medical rpg Apothacarum. This first video goes into character creation, and the future videos will go into me doing a short session to help players get a feel of how the game plays. I hope you all enjoy the video!

Apologies for the grainy photo but I am so proud of I know to most it’s not very much but as a game designer in the game for 2 plus years it is a joy to see my game Apothacarum over on itch.io become my highest and best selling game. Again I know the numbers are small but this is the validation I needed to keep going and come out with something great, that works and that people want to play. Now if folks would be willing to review my game randomly on their own on a YouTube channel would be that cherry on top! Thanks to everyone that has seen the game and purchased it. I’m hoping u all are having a good time playing it.

So my wife and I have begun play-testing my new mini/setting agnostic skirmish war game WARSHARD. I have used both terrain I have scratch built as well as 3d printed terrain. We have played 2 games so far and have been extremely pleased with the results. Our play-testing will be extensive as there are multiple ways to play the game. I have some pics attached and am thinking about possibly doing a battle report for the game. There will be additional changes and corrections as the testing continues but I seem to have been able to recreate a really solid game. If you guys would be interested in a battle report let me know in the comments.

Here are a few of the pieces I finished up from the set of terrain I’m building. The monolith is the one I’m most proud of. The toilet paper texturing trick worked like a dream! And I’m gonna be building more broken down building terrain soon. There are more to come. Let me know your thoughts.

My progress on the terrain I’m building. Right now my stepson and I Mod Podge everything. I did the TP texture trick for the first time and I’m excited for how it will turn out. After I finish the other pieces I’m working on completing I’m gonna try a fully themed board. Let me know what you guys think.
