Not sure I can keep going with these side effects
I’ve been on Ozempic 7 weeks at .25 and not sure I can keep taking it, I’m supposed to increase to .5 next week. Prior to starting, I’ve been on 40mg Prilosec twice a day and Pepcid twice a day which controlled my GERD well along with dietary changes. Prior to Ozempic I also had slow motility constipation. My primary and GI Dr still thought I can handle the medication so I went for it.
IOver the last 5 years I’ve lost 90lbs and since starting lost 18lbs, SW was 312. I’m on a medication that increases appetite, and while Ozempic was very effective even at the starter dose, I’m going to have to go up to still feel that effect, even now it’s wearing off.
I’m increasingly more constipated even with using MiraLAX once daily, after almost a week of no BM yesterday I moved to taking it 4 times plus a laxative per my GI Dr advice. I sleep on a wedge pillow to try to help. They said nothing more can be done to help with the increased acid reflux. The last two days I’ve been vomiting stomach acid and am miserable. I’m not sure if I can keep on this medication, does anyone have any advice?
