Since January I have had one night of really awful stomach pain once a month within days of my period starting. It has consistently just been one night and right before my period, so my doctor sent me to get ultrasounds of my stomach and my ovaries. Turns out I have a 1.2cm stone in the neck of my gallbladder as well as sludge. Everything else with it is entirely normal, no inflammation, no large size, no fluid, normal wall size. The only other thing notated is that the common bile duck is generous in size for my age. Like I mentioned, I have only been having this pain once a month right before my period. My question is for those who have been in a similar position, how long did you wait to remove it? My doctor referred me to a general surgeon. I have not spoke to them yet and I’m not looking for medical advice necessarily. I have a trip and I’m moving (and getting new health insurance) at the end of next month so I’m trying to determine whether I can put this off until August, or if I need to deal with it asap to avoid any major issues.
