What is the first thing you guys are planning to do upon State and Revolution release?

I’m planning to recreate the Eastern Bloc and get as much of Europe in it as possible. Also try to turn all of Latin America communist.

What If the US really was a collection of different forms of government?

There would still be a Federal Government. But I’m talking about every state being radically different.

Examples:
A Parliamentary system for Pennsylvania
A Rotating Chiefdom for Arizona
An Absolute Monarchy for California
A Council Republic for Vermont
A collection of Merchant Princes for New York

Would this even be feasible?

Philippines should pressure Malaysia to have a referendum on Sabah to whether be Malaysian, Filipino, or Independent

The issue will just be a point of contention and a wedge issue external powers will use to divide ASEAN. Both Malaysia and the Philippines should put an end to it. I know in practice Malaysia is the owner of Sabah, but I believe 20% or so of the population doesn’t have Malaysian citizenship and Malaysia calls them “Illegal Migrants”.

This is unjust for the Sama-Bajau people who have been sailing between our waters since before either of our countries existed. If they want Sabah they should grant all residents of the Island Malaysian citizenship. Otherwise it’s just colonization.

I wish every powerbloc could do something broken

Right now it feels like SE is the way to go because of the subjugation interaction. This is especially true ever since the nerf to Cultural Commonwealth (sad because it felt Culture Convert + Unify felt pretty appropriate especially in the age of nationalism).

Every powerbloc needs to have some ultimate interaction thats gated by a journal entry or maintaining #1 powerbloc rank.

Trade League:
Shell Companies, Trade Privileges agreements will automatically give investment rights with the other country but only for the Private Sector. This works even in non-bloc members.

Military Treaties:
Foreign bases, allows construction of barracks and conscription in powerbloc juniors. If a state has more than 25 barracks then it becomes a treaty port.

Ideological Union:
Coercive Diplomacy, forcing law changes on other countries will instantly give them that law upon victory.

Cultural Commonwealth
Settler colonies, creates a new homeland state for your primary culture if more than 25% of the state contains your primary culture. This also gives “return state” wargoal.

Sovereign Empire:
Proxies, makes protectorates start diplomatic plays as long as protectorate is autocracy, oligarchy, technocracy, or single party state and has low liberty desire. Triggering this raises liberty desire by 25.

There should be no minimum wage anywhere in the country, but essentials of life (food, water, electricity, education) should be heavily subsidized

Increasing minimum wage is basically just adding lanes to a highway to alleviate traffic. It works for a short time until the economy catches up. What the government should do is find ways to DECREASE the prices of essential goods including housing, food, water, electricity etc etc.

We should be more intentional in thinking that International/Foreign =\= Western

Whenever I hear discussion on anything regarding Internationality or Foreign the default in most Filipino minds usually default to western (and normally always White). It’s like in the Filipino Mind there only exists 3 kinds of humans, White Americans, White Europeans, and Filipinos. You can hear it when discussing anything from personal to the political.

“We can’t have a divorce law, if we do then our family unit will fall apart like these foreigners” like who? The Saudis? The Brazilians? The Nigerians? I didn’t know Family meant so little in their societies. “I like Foreigners because their cultures are more individualistic” like who? The Japanese? The Indians? The Moroccans? I didn’t know those were highly individualistic cultures.

Is Social Monarchy just for RP? I tried East Asian Prosperity Sphere but with Siam

I wanted to try to recreate the Greater Co-Prosperity Sphere but with Siam heading it. I tried my best to go as Corpo-Monarchy as possible. I went Monarchy -> Corporate State -> Social Monarchy.

I feel like there aren't really any tangible benefits to it unless you get lucky with an Intelligentsia/Trade Union Leader and want to cement them permanently without the issue of Aristocrats.

That's cool, but I wish it had more flavor than just better (but harder to get) Monarchy. Technocracy is technically just better Oligarchy with the extra company slot, I wish Social Monarchy had something else going for it (like ability to nationalize even with LF).
