I need a dress for a cocktail/black tie optional (colorful) dress code. It is at a garden location in mid summer in the Midwest. Colors are requested by the dress code. Would this dress be too fancy? I’m thinking of hemming to just above ankle length instead of leaving it full length.

I have a couple of clients who are young women (high school and college age) with very low self esteem and negative body image (no diagnosable eating disorders, although I have some concerns about possible unhealthy relationships with food). I am 25F and went through a similar phase myself, but have since developed a very healthy relationship with food, exercise, and my body at this point. I am still young and a newer therapist, so I am trying to navigate this carefully. I know what has worked well and promotes a healthy mindset for myself, but I obviously don’t want to bring that up as their therapist or be giving advice. I currently am at a practice that specializes in DBT, but these clients are not in the program, although I do go through skills when it’s appropriate. Does anyone have ideas on trainings I could take or any helpful tips for how to have healthy conversations about self esteem and body image that will make an impact?
