Ordered headphones…got an empty bag!!! (REPOST)
So, I lost my headphones and ordered some new ones on Vinted. At the beginning everything’s perfect all fine, the seller is really nice and seems legit. Then come to today when I go to pick up my parcel and I get handed an empty black bag. I didn’t question the lady working at the time as it’s out of her control, she can’t do much.
So then as soon as I get back in my car I contact the seller. The seller then tries to figure out what’s happened as do I. I ask for a return and the seller then asks to do halves (as they want compensation)…and I start thinking why would I want half of my money back for a bin bag when I could get the full amount.
I just want to say that the headphones were a GIFT to them so they never actually paid for the headphones so they’re not losing any money.
Anyways, I’ve said you haven’t lost any money since it was a gift and I’m down £30.00. They then say: ‘it’s still my product that I could’ve sold to someone else for a higher price instead of £25. I then reply to that saying that: ‘you decided to sell for £25, you made the offer’.
And then says that they need something out of it and can’t let it slide then tries to accuse ME of scamming her! That I’m lying and I want to keep the item and get my money back! Even though I sent her a picture of the package when I collected it in my car! After they accused me of scamming, I sent them pictures of the bag UNOPENED! And then they decided they’ve ’had enough’ and thankfully vinted support has issued me a full refund.
Also, on the shipping label it has writing on that says something that looks like ‘lol’ however I could just be overthinking it, but I’m just wondering if DPD pick up shops write on the labelling. I did ask the seller and they
said they didn’t write on it. I’m just confused.
I would also like to say that this was my FIRST ever time buying something off Vinted and I have now been put off from buying ever again.
Also, I don’t think I should’ve done ‘halves with the seller’ - vinted support has issued a whole refund and I can’t believe they accused me of scamming them 😭😭
