I think im being scammed?

Basically I sold my iPhone 13 for £130 and when the buyer received they said the phone had arrived with a crack. I was already suspicious about it because I wrapped it with two layers of bubble wrap and two layers of cardboard but whatever, I ended up agreeing to a return for a refund. However when it arrived the phone was cracked where the apple logo was and there was either food or something (which is so gross) on the phone. I’ve now decided to take it up with vinted, however I will ask if anyone thinks I’ll actually be given my money. Ill show our conversation and excuse me for my horrible spelling, I’m just really scared I’ll lose alot of money.
Btw I did show the sides of the phone and there were not scratches and I really don’t appreciate her bringing her daughter into the equation to trying and guilt trip me.

Also now that I’m looking about at the screenshots when i said I knew there was a crack, I was referring to knowing that she “received” the phone with a crack not that i sent her the phone knowing it was already broken. Also p.s I also understand that the way I was speaking came of quite rude however i was lowkey just kinda shocked and angry about the situation and im also 15 (not to use my age as an excuse) and i didn’t really know how to deal with it!Thanks for anyone who read the whole post!

Scammer will return another item than the item I sent

The title mostly explains my situation. I want to shed light on these types of situations while I’m also open to any advice on how to handle it.

I sold an almost 600€ Pokémon card, I pulled this card myself and I have a lot of experience with Pokémon cards to tell which are fake and which aren’t. The buyer claims that the card is fake and wants to return it. The buyer has zero reviews and seems to be on a new account and says he used a flashlight to determine the authenticity of the card which is not even a valid method of checking a card. When I contacted the Vinted support they asked for evidence to prove the card’s authenticity. Luckily I had photographed the whole packing process (where you can see the card I sent matches with the pictures in the listing) and I also sent all the pictures used in the listing. The card clearly isn’t fake but Vinted decided to take the buyer’s side in this. The buyer is now allowed to return the card and I’m basically 100% certain that I’m gonna get either an empty box or a fake card returned. I feel helpless and I’m so tired of the stupid AI/template support answers. What do I do?

Trying to sell stuff

So, I'm selling some stuff in Vinted for some quick cash, plus I need to empty out my stuff. I'm mainly selling books (they're old and a bit worn out, but not too bad) and some SKZ lomo cards. If that piques your interest, please let me know.

Need advice on a Louis Vuitton I just sold on Vinted

I typically sell luxury purses on Vestiaire Collective, but I’ve been thinking about branching out to other platforms. I listed a Saumur 35 for $385. It’s still in great shape, although it does have a couple of callouts.

Someone sent me an offer for $250, which was too low for me, so I countered at $305 and told them that was the lowest I could go. They immediately bought it and thanked me, saying they were so excited. I was planning to ship it yesterday, but my son had so many therapy appointments that I never got around to it. Today will be almost 48 hours since they purchased it.

Yesterday, though, I started thinking about the risk I’m taking by using Vinted’s shipping methods for a luxury item. I started wondering if I’d be better off arranging shipping myself, increasing the insurance coverage, and requiring a signature on delivery.

Then I started researching scams, and now I’m even more nervous. The person who sent the offer has 0 reviews and no profile picture.

Tell me what I think I already know… should I just cancel the sale? 😩 What would you tell the buyer?

Has anyone taken a risk like this and had it work out? I’m honestly getting scared to sell any of my luxury items on platforms that don’t have their own authentication process. I’ve sold Chanel on Poshmark before and had zero issues because it went through their authentication hub.

Am I overthinking this, or would you cancel?

Vinted refusing to issue refund for sold counterfeit goods - what are my rights? UK

I bought a pair of trainers on Vinted from a seller. The trainers were Nike P-6000’s and were advertised as a UK Size 8 (I will attach a photo of what was advertised and what I received).

When I received the trainers I found that they were quite small, but they were listed as a UK Size 8 so I figured they were just a small size 8. According to Vinted’s own refunds policy, something ‘not fitting correctly’ is not considered eligible for a refund. The only time something is considered eligible for a refund is if it is ‘significantly not as described’. Due to this, I did not report an issue within Vinted’s 48 hour policy and my plan was to relist the item on Vinted (which is also Vinted’s advice if something does not fit).

I attempted to relist the shoes, and after review Vinted denied this claiming they were ‘suspected counterfeits’. I contacted the seller who denied they were counterfeit (but could not provide any proof of purchase etc) and then he blocked me, so I am unable to contact him again.

I then proceeded to contact Vinted via the legal email. I explained the situation and requested kindly that they support with a refund, as I was allegedly sold counterfeit goods. I explained I did not report within the 48 hours as I did not at that time feel that there was an issue, and I only realised there was an issue when Vinted reported that the shoes may be fake.

Vinted have responded and have declined to support in any way. I have explained several times and gone back and forth with them, but they are refusing to help and keep saying there is ‘nothing they can do’. They are also clearly not reading my emails properly as they keep suggesting things I have already explained is not possible, like contacting the seller (as I am blocked).

I paid for the shoes via my Vinted Balance so I cannot issue a chargeback via my bank. I feel completely frustrated with this situation as I now have lost £60, have a pair of shoes that do not fit (and are likely fake) and I am unable to sell them on Vinted. How is this fair?

Is there anybody out there who can help with my rights or any other avenues I can go down?

I have tried Resolver but all it is doing is sending Vinted the same information I have sent. I am planning on contacting Citizens Advice tomorrow, but other than this what else can I do?

I will upload photos of what was advertised and what I received, so you can see how difficult it would be for me to know if these are fake.

PLEASE help!

They did send an item
I perfume wrapped up with label wrapped around it
We raised issue the account is like a ghost account
No pfp no responses
No other listing or reviews

Vinted took two weeks to respond and tell us next steps
Anyway we sent all the photos
They say they need a photo of the label laid flat and otherwise can't send a refund

We have multiple pictures of the label showing full label but it's wrapped round so didn't have a laid flat image

Please get this scammer banned, selling fake items (Proof)

The market is ridden with fake funkos, most are of expensive vaulted ones like resident evil, kill bill, last of us. I remember seeing this persons account a while ago and just happened to find a fake funko listing when looking and its their account.

Single reports I make never do anything as vinted just don’t do anything, bot response within minutes saying not against TOS even with photo proof and explantion.

This person has nearly 200 reviews and most are 5, this is purely because casual buyers of them have no idea that there are fakes, but she does have some reviews where buyers have realised, buy she hasn’t refunded as they just care about scamming money from people. Some can be up to £60 or more so that is a lot of people they have made out of pocket with useless fake items. They just buy them from aliexpress for like £10 each and rip people off for at least double that.

Please take a few minutes to report this account for selling counterfeit items, I have, and have sold to people who have, large expensive collections so I can’t stand it when people sell shit like this when people don’t know any better, including kids who buy things on the app.

They may just make another account, but hopefully this will deter them at least slightly so less people get scammed.

Scammers on Vinted

Has anyone came across these sellers on Vinted allegedly selling brands such as “Tiger Mist”, “Peppermayo” etc, but they’re actually Shein items with the labels cut off? I’ve come across Atleast 3 so far and they all seem to be following each other and giving each other good reviews, so this just seems like a huge elaborate group scam. Just thought I’d warn some people here. I reported them multiple times however Vinted ignored it.

First time being scammed after 160+ 5 star reviews

I’ve heard that vinted always sides with the buyer. How do I deal with this?

I sent the item via drop2shop, cashier said he’d email me the receipt but I never got one.

Part 2 Vinted buyer made a tear to my StellaMcCartney falabella bag

So today I received my bag that the buyer willingly returned. But as I claimed there was no hole when I sent the bag. Here are the dated photos and the photo that i took today… if there was a hole in the first place it would have shown in my listing photos. I’m super pissed, now I just hope that the vinted team will inspect this case thoroughly.

I think I'm getting scammed on vinted, need help!!!

I recently purchased a figure on vinted, and in hindsight, I should've been more skeptical about it but this is a figure I've been really wanting so I bought it immediately before anyone could.

I sent the seller a message right after, and then I noticed that they had zero reviews, no other items in their account and no profile picture. That's when I immediately noticed they're probably a scam account that steals other people's pictures and sets up a listing with them.

I'm normally really aware of these kinds of accounts, but it completely flew by me this time and I was too excited to check properly, so it's completely my fault, I feel very stupid about it :(

After that, I immediately cancelled the order but the person had already gotten the digital label, so it couldn't be cancelled immediately. It's now been 24hrs and they haven't replied to my message but it has been seen, but just now I got a notification that the package has been sent to me.

Also, on the chat it also said the seller was on holiday, which is not something I saw when I first messaged them initially.

I'm 100% sure the figure is absolutely not being sent to me, so now I'm really worried, and wondering if I can just ignore the package and wait for it to be sent back so that I can get my refund. I know that's going to take days, but I'm not bothered I really just want my money back.

But I'm also scared that the scammer is going to do something else to make sure they get my money??? I'm not sure, I'm just very frightened for my money right now and I'm opening myself up for any possibilities, and need any advice I can get. Thank you.

Got scammed, what should I do?

I bought what I thought was a 3DS XL for $100 (which is already a suspiciously low price) from a seller in Washington. after only 3 days of shipping the item was "delivered" in Texas... even though my delivery address was in Florida.

I tried to cancel the order before but it was already shipped, so when it was delivered sent a claim to Vinted and suspended the order. I tried contacting Vinted support but they aren't being very helpful right now.

I also know its a scam since a couple days ago I saw another listing for a 3DS XL with almost the exact same images and title.

Will I be able to get a refund from Vinted, or should I just dispute the charge from my bank?

RANDOMLY BANNED BY VINTED & WANT TO SCREAM? BEEN SCAMMED & GET NO HELP? Join our campaign to get Vinted to fix their sh*t, BBC & other media are involved 👇🏼

**The story in one line:** Vinted has replaced human moderation and customer service with an AI stack that is making catastrophic, high-volume false-positive decisions, then locked the appeals process behind more AI — and the financial damage is landing on sellers (especially Pro sellers and small businesses) while buyer-side fraud goes unchecked.

Thousands of UK users are losing their accounts, their money and their livelihoods. Vinted still refuse to explain why.

Real people, real bans, no answers. Sellers wake up to a suspended account, a frozen wallet and a bot response that repeats the ban with no route to a human. Buyers lose money on undelivered items and get ignored. Small businesses have been wiped out overnight because an automated system flagged a listing that broke a rule Vinted never published.

There’s free legal advice, info & templates for you to use at [http://www.sadvintedfaces.com\](http://www.sadvintedfaces.com) \- and PLEASE ADD YOUR STORY TO THIS SITE!

We need to come together to expose and hold them accountable for these abhorrent and often illegal sanctions on loyal account holders operating lawfully, treating us dreadfully when we are the ones that they have made billions from.

We have nearly 4,000 submissions so far - PLEASE ADD YOUR STORY TO THE CAMPAIGN! It takes about a minute & you DON’T have to give personal details unless you want to.

A couple of weeks ago the powerhouse of a woman that is Catherine Warrilow (founder of the site) was interviewed by the BBC and it’s gaining traction but we need your help! It’s also been in the Times, The i and other media outlets.

is this a scam??

I bought a bundle on Vinted for £50 it had a vintage rare Abercrombie and fitch top , a holister babydoll top (not vintage) and another holister top (also not vintage) the seller prepared it straight away and 2 hours later she cancelled the order with no explanation and blocked me…

I then see that she’s reloaded the listings separately so the vintage Abercrombie and fitch top was now up for £35 pound and the babydoll holister top up for £15. Which to me didn’t make sense because that adds up to £50 anyway?

I really wanted this vintage top sooo bad so I went onto another Vinted account and bought it (she accepted an offer of £31.50) she very quickly again prepared the label very fast but then messaged me a couple mins later asking if I could change the delivery to Royal Mail. So shes cancelled the order and and re listed and as I’m going to buy I can an account warning that someone has reported me which was strange because I don’t use my backup account much so I knew it was her.

she’s now re uploading the top like every 5 minutes??? I’m so confused.. I’m so annoyed as I’ve spent £81.50 trying to buy this stupid top from a stupid seller!!!

Purchaser claims they didn’t recieve the item-and now I’m out of money-and they have the item listed on their page!!

I’m literally at a loss. She claims she didn’t receive it-even though the tracking says it was delivered which she acknowledges. She then posted the item-for much more than I sold it to her. And Vinted refuses to acknowledge that and just keeps telling me they’re doing an investigation. I confronted the purchaser and she is claiming that item is a different item she purchased and has proof of purchase. I asked her what does Vinted do in this scenario and she quickly replied they investigate and they refund you. Seems like this isn’t her first rodeo of pulling this scam. It’s been weeks and Vinted just gives me the run around EVERYTIME I ask saying they’re still investigating. What should I do? I can’t even leave her a review and warn anyone else!
