Are they trying to scam me? URGENT

Hello everyone, so I have sold a samsung galaxy FE 21 and I’ve sold it for 85€. The entire time this person has been nagging me and almost acting like a Karen which should’ve been my first red flag. They’ve received the phone and they sent me a photo that the phone had overheated and it opened which never happened with me in the past 3-4 years that I’ve had it. Now they’re demanding money from me and I don’t know what to do. I really need help, is there any way I could get my phone back and for them to get their money back?

beware!! ai scammer xmoragora on vinted

goraxmora on vinted is an ai scammer. the shirt she sells is a shirt from shein she bought for €3 and her “art” she printed on herself is ai generated. worst of all she herself is ai. the girl you see wearing her shirts in her advertisements isnt real and doesnt exist, the entire picture is ai. when i found out about this i asked for a refund but ever since then shes been ghosting me. does anyone have any tips on what i can do?

proof:
\- the camera shes holding on the picture has text that’s gibberish
\- on the shirt on the third picture the chains form a heart shape, but it randomly fades at the top left.
\- on the shirt on the third picture the girls left side of the face randomly fades away

please upvote to bring attention to this so we prevent other people from being scammed

Vinted permanently banned my account for “selling counterfeit items” — possibly linked to reporting a fake item myself?

Hi all,

A few hours ago my Vinted account (with 350+ 4.9 stars reviews) got permanently blocked with this message:

“We have permanently blocked your account on Vinted due to fraudulent activities, such as selling counterfeit items.”

No warning, no strike, nothing beforehand. I tried to appeal through the in-app process, but the app itself told me that cases classified as “fraudulent activities” or “selling counterfeit items” are excluded from appeal entirely.

Here’s the part that’s throwing me off: I have no idea which item this is supposed to be about, and I’ve never knowingly sold a counterfeit item. What I have done recently is the opposite — I received a counterfeit Scuffers hoodie as a buyer and opened a dispute against the seller (label didn’t match my authentic Scuffers pieces at all — different country wording, no “Designed in Madrid” branding, no logo tag). That dispute was legitimate and I had clear photo evidence.

I’m wondering if something in that process — maybe the counterfeit report itself, maybe an automated system flag tied to the item/brand — somehow got misattributed to my seller account instead of just closing out the buyer-side case. Has anyone else had a counterfeit buyer dispute end up affecting their own seller account like this?

I’ve since emailed Vinted directly outside the in-app flow (regular support chat escalated it to a case worker) and I’m waiting to hear back on which specific listing this is about. Just wanted to share in case others have seen something similar, and open to any advice on next steps.

Edit: thinking about it more, I also recently listed an Avirex leather jacket that I was never 100% sure about myself. It has the right internal tags (Avirex 1975, “Type AVRX” flight garment label, Ideal-branded zipper) but I couldn’t fully verify authenticity myself before listing it. It’s possible this is the item in question rather than anything Scuffers-related — I honestly don’t know yet. Will share once Vinted actually tells me which listing triggered this.

Will update if I get more info.

Thank you in advance!

I think i have this scam under control?

So i'll start by saying im not smart at all, but i got scammed and need to know if im missing something because to me i think im in the clear. So for background, i bought a 75 euro "Ps5" (i've had plenty of time to reflect on how stuipid it was) but i caught onto it quickly, so the scammer used a custom tracking link as far as i can tell which means he already told vinted "I sent the package" so he lost his chance to send me something of similar weight to a ps5 like rocks. So nothing has moved on the tracking page in weeks now and it says i can get a refund on the 15th of july if it doesn't go to delivered which it cants unless i get something so am i in the clear?

UPDATE children are STILL being trafficked on Vinted

this is a screenshot, mine from my phone, taken yesterday june 29th.

the seller was a seemingly throwaway account - randomly made recently with no history/transactions and only one following which was another throwaway account, with profile similarities and also only following this seller
in under 30 min it was taken down

now why these listing are taken down/not found is a guess as good as mines but taking into account;
\- vinted has not put anything out regarding this/if they're doing anything about it
\-whether it is from people reporting the listings and vinted is taking the listings down 1by1 it is probably based off general report policies vs this specifically
\-it could VERY well be these listings arent meant to be publicly up for long/to be quick interactions, with unknown accounts, person to person, the newer the post/faster a "transaction", to then be taken down, the better it is under radar
\-essentially, in a sense...yes YOU/I/normal shoppers ARENT going to find them and be able to intercept

& just taking into account general information about well...so much of everything similar in our digital real world right now,
please allow room for conversation!

Just another scammer

It seems Vinted has more and more scams now!
Unfortunately my child is obsessed with Pokemon and anyone who has tried to find and buy Pokemon cards retail understands it’s near impossible.

I bought an Ogerpon Box and 4 singular packs (the former I never opened as I assumed that was tampered with also) from a seller only to discover soon after delivery that the packs were resealed. Messaged the seller within 5 minutes of delivery, packaged them back up in the original box and sent them back within a couple of hours.

Seller is now claiming I’ve damaged the items (which makes no sense, why would I damage resealed products - what would I achieve?) and I’m now waiting for Vinted to make a decision on it. Fortunately I videoed the packing and delivery of this item so should all be ok but the audacity to sell resealed items in the first place AND then try to keep my money when items have been returned.

Luckily this is the first time I’ve ever had issues with Vinted users after being on the platform for over 4 years and selling 400+ items myself. I’m annoyed at myself, I shouldn’t have bought singular packs as it’s known that this happens but my sons bday was coming up, this seller had good reviews and it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get any in retail.

Avoid seller, nothing she’s selling you can’t get from legitimate pro sellers on Vinted or other sites. She’s clearly buying out Pokemon products for profit (which is what it is, but is a bit annoying for parents like me whose kids want to rip packs but alas, wouldn’t be so bad if she wasn’t a scammer). I’ve bought lots of pokemon products from amazing sellers with no problems at all so it’s a shame this seller has ruined that.

I understand to an extent why Vinted doesn’t allow reviews when items have been returned etc but it is frustrating when you can’t leave reviews in circumstances like this to warn other buyers. This must happen all the time yet there’s no way it can be highlighted on Vinted itself.

Although there are legitimate sellers on Vinted and I’ve had the pleasure of buying from them, I have learned my lesson and will not be buying any more Pokemon products on this site. Vinted used to have a really nice feel to it, like an online bootsale, now it just feels like the platform is being ruined by scams.

How can I tell if I’m being scammed?

I’m selling a pair of Mary Jane sambas women’s and a Middle Aged man with no reviews, no followers or following and no items for sale has purchased them without question. Should I be weary of this?

Scam or real?

I sell on Vinted and I had a buyer from Australia message me to say they had been looking for a bag I was selling and when I wrote their address, please remove part of it as Vinted had got it wrong. I usually use the digital service but in this instance I printed the label which showed an address for an address in London. Thinking it was a scam I cancelled the order and blocked the buyer. The next day I had an email from the buyer's sister asking if she could buy the bag and that she understood how suspicious everything looked but that Vinted has messed up the address. I blocked her and didn't respond. Now the bag has sold again to a third Australian buyer. Are all three buyers linked? What do you all think? Scam or an authentic sale?

Scandinavia & Poland, please be aware of this scammer

Hi everyone in Scandinavia and Poland Vinted. Please be aware of this scammer, block and report. I sold this person new with tags authentic item that I have a receipt of. The person wanted to return them and sent back different size, used, counterfeit, horrible smelling and broken version of same item. The person deliberately purchased this item with the substitution scheme in mind knowing fully she had a similar item except counterfeit and broken at home and wanted a new one.

I did not properly check the person’s reviews before selling to her but if you scroll back on her reviews, you can see there have been many similar situations even though her reviews first page is showing us five stars. The person is running an item substitution scheme and please be careful. Vinted held my funds for one month after return and I was able to get my money back only through legal action. However, I want to warn you all because the person is still using vinted and the order is marked as returned so she was probably also refunded. I can’t leave feedback because the order was returned. Please be careful. Will never use this app again and do not want anyone to end up in the same situation. Vinted has allowed a person like this to remain on the app and continue selling.

Failing to collect to get an option to opt out for a full refund is a scam

Getting sick of people abusing the deliver to post office option then failing to collect the items and then getting sent back. A few buyers use this as a loophole to return for change of mind. I had over 100 likes on an item, for it to sit at post office for 20 days and can take same again to reach me. Item out of my hands for over a month, buyer will get full refund. Waste of everyone's time. Wasted carbon footprint. I sent messages to the buyer, the read every message and didnt respond. They knew what they were doing and can't leave feedback so this continues to happen.

I'm scared to shop in vinted

Can anyone share the best ways to avoid scams on Vinted? I've noticed there seem to be quite a few suspicious sellers and scam listings. Are there specific warning signs I should look out for, or steps I can take to protect myself when buying? Alternatively, do you think it's safer to avoid using Vinted altogether?

Am I getting scammed on Vinted?

I just started looking at Vinted for older Lego sets hoping to find cheaper alternatives, and I came across a few that appear to be a very good price for a very good set. The main one is set 9525 Pre Vizsla's Mandalorian Starfighter, completely sealed and new. There is no wear or signs that the tape has been removed, but at the fairly low price for this set I'm a bit worried (its 125$). The seller has no reviews yet but the name seems like it could be a legit name (not just an alphabet jumble). This is my dream set so I'm very tempted. Does anybody have experiences with this or ideas?

*I have messaged the seller and asked
