I’ve made a few updates to the project.

I added sound effects, a new window, and new systems.

Model Foundry is a management/tycoon simulation game about founding and scaling an AI company. You start in a garage in 2016 with a small team and grow all the way into a frontier AGI lab, making decisions about strategy, hiring, research, data sources, compute infrastructure, marketing, and distribution along the way.

IA BUSSINESS TYCOON

Hello everyone!

About two weeks ago, I came up with an idea for a game about managing an AI development company — similar to companies like Anthropic or OpenAI, but with players creating and running their own company.

The game begins around 2017. You start by researching AI, building your team, buying furniture and equipment, seeking funding, paying bills, and managing the company as realistically as possible.

You’ll compete with other major corporations while dealing with challenges such as hiring skilled professionals, ethics, finances, and limited development space.

The project is still at a very early stage. I’m not an artist and I’m terrible at design, but I’ve been programming since 2016.

The repository is currently outdated, but I’ll push the latest changes as soon as possible.

One long-term idea is to connect players through competition for resources and benchmarks. Players could develop open-source AI models, while newer players could use those models to improve their own AI systems. It’s a future dream for the project, haha.

Anyone interested in helping with the project is welcome to reply here.

My main inspirations are Game Dev Tycoon and Game Tycoon — I played both a lot when I was younger.

The game’s setting, story, progression, and systems have all been documented in the project.

[STUCK IN GAME PROGRESSION — ALIEN RUINS]

Hello everyone, how are you?

English is not my native language, so I’m using a translator. Sorry if anything sounds unclear.

I’m currently stuck in the game’s progression. Basically, I’m no longer receiving any hints or notifications. When I get close to the Bloom Cankers to destroy them, they close, and the game says I need an unknown tool.

Also, when I try to read something in the Alien Base, it says I can’t read it for some reason.

I played for about 1 hour straight and explored different areas of the map, but I couldn’t find anything that would help me progress. I already unlocked the “Metal Farm” machine, and I believe that was my last major progression point.

Can someone please tell me where I should go, what I should do, or which location I should search?

I’ve been stuck for a few days and even stopped playing because of this.
