A couple changes to power generation is in order

The other power sources besides the bioreactor need to be nerfed and be more expensive to make. Things you make with the habitat builder that aren't basic rooms really should cost electronic parts. It's just too easy to get an enormous amount of power from hydroelectric or thermal for a small cost of simple resources.

I think the least amount of energy from a bioreactor material should be comparable to 5 solar panels, 3 hydroelectric turbines, and 2 thermals, minimum. The ability to just put it down and never need to do anything else again should have a much larger cost for the other energy resources. The only boon that the bioreactor currently has, from what I can gather, is a small amount of energy maximum and the ability to have energy in caves, which there's aren't many to make bases in and there's abolutely no reason to do so either.

Thermal areas are just waaay too big to get an enormous amount of energy from just throwing generators around. At the same time, there isn't enough of these areas in a smaller form scattered around. It's unbelievably optimal to put your base next to the vertical thermal strip on the other side of the >!first alien structure!< compared to anywhere else around that plateau, for example.

I also think the currents need to be more chaotic in power input like the solar panels have so there's more of an incentive to use the power storage. Possibly make these generators bigger to make it harder to throw a lot of them down on one current. Actually, make all of the power generation structures much bigger to nerf being able to spam them down everywhere.

I'm ngl, I think the power extenders just straight up need to go. They make thermal and hydroelectric far too overpowered.

Currently, anything that isn't titanium, quartz, copper and the last end game resource don't have enough sinks. There is way too much gold and lead. Silver is very abundant but that's only if you find the handful of places it's clustered around, although, that's really not hard to find if you explore a little.

I think the lack of biomes for many of these resouces to be restricted to is hurting the pacing of progression. It'll obviously help when there's more biomes and areas you want to build more bases for but regardless, power still needs large adjustments to balance imo.

Sure do with I could kill the fish

Me and my friend were about to set sail, but a Hammerhead didn't want us to. Took us nearly 10 minutes to get him out. He didn't attack or anything, he just kept swimming back to the Tadpole. I don't even know how he got there, since no fish swim over to that area at all. Pretty annoying. If we could kill them it would've take 10 seconds to get him out. That was not fun at all lmao

Also no I didn't try to just take the Tadpole out anyway. My only option shouldn't be to just have this thing start attacking me out of nowhere lmao

What don’t you like about this game?

I’m amazed at the game so far, I love it so much and cannot wait for more content. I am curious what some negative opinions people might have already though?

How about a Cyclops?

Hello everyone, I'm honoured and blessed to have been a part of the 2m sales at the launch of subnautica 2 (even if it is still in early access) i however I've seen through dev discussion on YouTube, that they are not planning a larger vehicle like the Cyclops. I'll miss that beast it was one of the best things for me. Please tell me I'm not the only one feeling this way.

Mark my words, Water Slugs will turn out to be the villains of this story!

Here's what my brain thinks the final boss will look like.

does anyone know how to get this damn thing off my screen?

I believe its some kind of warning system for "big creatures" or something, as it appeared when i got near what i thought was just a lump of coral and the notification made me realize that it was alive before it got the chance to surprise me with turning into a crab, and that REALLY pisses me off because the game essentially stole what would have been a cool moment from me. This ALSO means that i probably wont get snuck up on by other big creatures combine with that AND the Pda creature warning, and that will be extremely upsetting

Anyways enough with my hissy fit, does anyone know how to get rid of it? because i cant seem to find an option to.

Where are we building our second base?

If at all? So at I’m sticking with my original near the escape pod but I’m considering building one near a POI around a km to the east (don’t want to post spoilers)

Anyone having this issue?

I have no idea what’s going on. I have been messing with my graphics settings for an hour and can’t seem to find a way to fix this constant flickering. Does anyone have any ideas? I’d appreciate any help or comments a lot! Thank you!

The bioscanner is too well hidden

I just got to the turbine and it told me "unknown tool needed". If I didn't look up where to find the bioscanner (or indeed that you need a bioscanner in the first place), I'd have been stuck here indefinitely.

Potential save ruining bug warning!!

If anyone has advice or ideas I'll take any but I think I'm losing a 30 hour save from a bug.

I have the tadpole dock and the tadpole crafting station next to each other in the same moonpool. I just made a new attachment for the tadpole but when I went to drive up to it and attach it I got caught in the docking animation at the same time. This caused my tadpole to bug and get stuck in place.

I have tried the unstuck feature to no avail. I've exited the save and reentered but nothing as well. I am simply stuck in my tadpole now unable to move or do anything... very sad but if I have to start over that's alright this game is awesome!
