I don’t know why I missed how badly Mrs.Mellark treats Peeta, like I know in that situation there’s nothing good to say but there was no reason for that to be among the last words your son hears from you before he’s taken off to what you believe to be his death.

I mean it's very possible that King Kuei is mistaken, or what he said is a like a kind of legend or a tradition that has been passed down and the earth monarchs hadn't been to the outer wall for generations, but surely not since the founding of Ba sing se... right?
But if it is true and no earth king has been there, then wow no wonder Ba sing se has its uprisings every now and then.
