Johns pass do's

Me and my wife just got back from Madeira beach area. I figured I would make a post regarding Johns pass and what we loved about it so if anyone is looking to book in the area they could look at this post and have an idea on what we liked about it. This is just our opinion on what stood out to us. There are another handful of restaurants there that were good and are defintely worth trying!

- Our favorite restaurant was the Friendly Fisherman for the food but also the view. Sitting on their dockside lounge and watching the dolphins come and go is awesome. Try the gator bites and the blackened mahi tacos. Pro tip - one 45oz margarita is good for two people but that do not mean you can't get one each lol (.

- Hooters and Bubba Gump are great places to eat as well. Hooters is very well priced and they have the best wings. Try their $6 sangria or margarita. We loved bubba gumps coconut shrimp and tried there baja ceviche.

- Mad Beach restaurant has a really good smash burger and nice local beers.

- When it came to food, drinks and atmosphere; Pirates Pub and Grub was the best. Awesome margaritas and pina coloda's, they also have these thirst quenchers (mermaid water and pirates punch are the best ones imo). They have excellent food, the best selection of burgers and awesome crab cakes (best French fries as well). The staff at pirates deserve a shoutout as well. They are all excellent and will do whatever they can to make your experience enjoyable and make you feel at home. Always sit outside, the view is amazing.

- Take the time to search up the Bamboo bar and look to see who is playing live music while you are staying. If you are into country music you will not want to miss Taria and Marty along with a bucket of beer.

- The Florida Winery is an awesome place to get souvenirs, slushies, and homemade wine with great staff

- Kilwins has the best ice cream hands down. Try there salted Carmel flavor. They also have great chocolate dipped rice crispies and marshmallows.

- We never did any of the boating tours or fishing tours with Hubbards Marina so I cannot give you a review based on our experience. However, from just going in to their store and talking to staff there they all seem very nice and approachable. I fish a lot so I found myself going in there and talking to them for 10-20 min at a time about fishing.
