do my back teeth need to be extracted?

so these are my 1st and 2nd molars on the bottom left. I think i was 15/16 when I had it filled. I just lost a peice of tooth the past few months and the past week I've been having pain on and off. I was just wondering if they looked like they needed to be pulled or if I could have a root canal or possibly save them.
