BU $$ vs NDLS $
I just got off the waitlist at BU and honestly so shocked to have received scholarship money.
I am so conflicted.
I’ve lived in Boston for the past several years and have loved it. My partner is there and so are my best friends, and just love the city overall. However, I am from the south and will eventually move back. I haven’t been to south bend yet, but I can’t imagine it’s any different than most college towns and the lack of things to do might be good for me as I get super distracted lol.
I hate Boston COL. I have already signed a lease (I can sublease) in South Bend for dirt cheap and there are employment opportunities on NDLS campus to help further reduce COL and get tuition discounts. If I’ve calculated it appropriately, my COL per year at NDLS would be less than 9k and Boston would easily be double that.
My goal is BigLaw and I would really like to clerk but it is not a deal breaker. My main priority is maximizing ROI.
