Awkward Room Layout
Just moved into a spare bedroom at a friend’s house and I’m trying to figure out the best furniture layout. The room is approximately 14’ x 10’ (didn’t have a tape measure yet).
Main pieces:
- Queen bed
- 5’ dresser with TV on top
- Possibly small nightstands
Biggest priorities:
- Don’t block the closet
- Keep decent walking space around the bed
- Avoid awkward layouts where the dresser gets wedged between the bed and wall
- TV visible from bed would be nice, but not mandatory
The window/view isn’t important, and I’ll be getting a lower-profile bed frame soon.
Attached is the empty floor plan plus a photo of the room. Open to any layout suggestions or ideas for making the space feel bigger/more functional.
