Thoughts on the Durston X-Mid 2 and the X-Dome 2?
I have been hearing really good things about the Durston X-Mid and X-Dome and was wondering what some of you think of these tents.
Any Pros or Cons that you have experienced? I am currently leaning toward the X-Mid as it lighter and cheaper. Plus I already have a freestanding tent and I am interested in trying out trekking pole tent for the first time. My only major concerns are the learning curve for setting up a trekking pole and that I have read that some people have had issues setting up on certain types of terrain like solid rock and sand.
I will say that I am not currently an Ultralight backpacker but I am trying reduce my pack weight in various ways and this is one of them. I am currently using a Big Agnus Copper Spur which I do like but at times it does feel a bit bulky.
