Hello Ithaca community! Bike Walk Tompkins is hosting our 3rd annual back-to-school bike sale this Saturday from 10am-1pm at Swamp City Community Cycles. There will be over 40 bikes of various sizes and styles for youth and adults + free helmets & front/rear lights. We are conveniently located at the end of Cascadilla St and off of the Cayuga Waterfront Trail (803 Cascadilla St).

All bike sales and donations go to support our nonprofit bike shop and the operations at Bike Walk Tompkins.

Bike Walk Tompkins has a new series of group rides to get you rolling. Register to ride at bikewalktompkins.org/education

This class is designed for riders who already possess basic bicycle handling skills and are ready to build confidence riding on roads, in neighborhoods, on shared-use paths, and in low- to moderate-traffic environments. The instruction is provided in a group ride setting on a pre-selected routes. Registration is $10/rider; youth riders 16 and younger can attend for free with their guardian.

July 16 @ 4:30pm: Fall Creek to Wegmans
Meetup at Ithaca High School

July 23 @ 4:30pm: Northside to Wegmans
Meetup at 3rd Street DMV parking lot

August 8 @ 10am: Southside to Ithaca Farmers Market
Meetup at Southside Community Center
Includes 30 minute stop at the market

August 20 @ 4:30pm: West Hill to Ithaca Commons
Meetup at Ithaca Children’s Garden

Hiya Ithaca community,

Three bikes were stolen from our wonderful community partners at BJM Elementary this afternoon. During their usual PE class time, two of the black Joystar bikes and one pink youth bike were lifted from the park by GIAC. If you come across these bikes, please contact the school directly or Bike Walk Tompkins at hello@bikewalktompkins.org . This is not an opportunity for vigilantism, we just want the bikes returned to the school. No charges, no questions asked.
