Hi,
we’re four guys, and we’ve put together Westminster’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota. The concept is simple: you see two places side by side (for example Famille vs. Kachina Southwestern Grill), you choose the place you’d rather go to, and the ranking updates instantly. The more people vote, the more accurate the list gets over time. There are still a few duplicates here and there, but I’m continuously cleaning up the data.

P.S. I’m not from Westminster (I live in Gothenburg). I’m not collecting data, not selling anything, and the app does not use AI-generated content. Fun Store on Commons
As we move into winter months I have been keeping an eye out for fun places for the kids. Discovered this gem of a store today. They have tables set up and games available for people who want to play in the back ❤️🙌🏼 staff were kind and welcoming too.

How in god’s name do I stop receiving these Tops flyers??
I’m so tired of getting them. Every single week and there have been weeks where I’ve gotten multiple of the same damn flyer. I can’t even remember the last time I went to Tops. I started getting flyers from Wegmans recently too and it’s so obnoxious.

A very simple one, that’s appropriate for when you’re sick? Ginger, a little chicken, that sort of thing….I’ve searched the Ithaca Reddit & come up empty, but am hoping that it’s just not something that people come here to talk about.

Plant Nursery
Hey all! My spouse and I were looking into planting some pine/evergreen trees to fill out our property. We have six acres near Brooktondale and when I say fill out, I don’t mean ALL that space but mostly around or near the perimeter over the years.

Heard on the radio that the invertebrate blashkas are at corning now? Are these the ones that were displayed at corson-mudd or are these different specimens? If from corson-mudd, anyone know when they moved?

The Ithaca Fighting Game Community
I've always found fighting game locals to be a great way to make new friends and have some fun learning and getting better at one of the best video game genres. When I moved here earlier this year I was looking for a local FGC to meet up with fellow fighting game players and I couldn't find one, so I started my own!
If anyone is interested feel free to shoot me a DM and I can add you to our Discord! For now the plan is to host weekly online lobbies, but I'm looking into finding a venue in/around Ithaca where we can host in-person meetups and tournaments. I mostly play Tekken and Marvel Tokon at the moment, but open to playing and learning anything!
