Trying my first walk cycle in Dreams. He’s got some good hip mobility. 😂

In love with the 3D space and having so much fun figuring out what is and isn’t possible.

This might be one of my fave things I have ever made. Ran into a bug though, if I try to adjust the hue/sat of anything now, the branches with smallest leave (which are all duplicates of the same pre-comp) yeet themselves to the front. I have tried rebuilding them from scratch so they are completely new, using adjustment layers, putting the effect into the flower pre-comp but no bingo. Bizarre! Anybody else experienced this? My Googling says it’s a known bug but I can’t figure out why it only affects this particular pre-comp.
Very inspire by Henri Rousseau for this one. Drawn in Procreate and then Animated in After Effects mainly for the camera and rigging (Dreams would be my first choice).
I tried Duik Angela but it was so so overwhelming and kept doing things I didn’t understand so I invested in Rubber Hose and it is awesome! Had a heap of fun making this.
Some of my fave features. It runs through them quite quickly so here is a detailed breakdown:
Sharing this second go at this effect. Really appreciate all the awesome tips the other day. Had a play with some of the suggested changes, namely easings and reducing camera shake. Still got to get my head around 3d travel paths but that will be next time.
I’m an illustrator who has been editing with Premier but wanted to try some Parralax and I think I’m in love? Any tips on puppet warp, particularly making the movements look a bit more natural. I’ve used it extensively in PS but never keyframed.
This tool is so hidden hardly anyone knows about it and it’s really useful if you want to change colours in a flattened artwork. Here’s how to find it.
I created this for my new lappy as a reminder to myself to keep creating personal work between commercial projects. I normally get busy and then forget how important it is to explore things on my own.
And has 4TB internal storage so I’m breaking up with my SSD.
I didn’t use any 3D software to make this. 👏🏻 So much fun to play around with!! I had a bunch of people ask for a full tutorial. It’s up on my Instagram if you want to have a play around too: @RebeccaMillsDraws
Page 1 is final art. Supplied sketches on P2 - 6. Did your fave sketch get chosen?
Absolute dream gig - 72 internal illustrations plus cover wrap and end papers all drawn in Procreate.
I know short form video content is not Reddit’s jam but here is a short explanation of Layer Select for beginners or others that get lost in their layers.
Admins, sorry for the incorrect tag, we need one for tips and tutorials or something!
If you want more tips like this you can follow me on insta. 👍🏻
I’m not a fashion illustrator but was inspired by some of the beautiful dresses - here are some quick studies.
Will never get over being involved in this!
My piece It’s Beautiful Down Here explored the beauty and wonder of Australia’s complex coral reef ecosystems, one of my favourite places to be. Created in Procreate, this vibrant scene brings together some of my favourite species, capturing the movement, diversity, and interconnectivity of life beneath the surface. The title It’s Beautiful Down Here is a nod both to the world below the water and to Australia itself, a place of unique and extraordinary beauty.
