Any help would be appreciated.

This is a family members house who rarely is home - gone for a few weeks at a time and only home for maybe a day per month. The first photo was from last October. I replaced the damaged PVC and it happened again a few weeks ago. They are coming back to town this weekend and I am going to fix the pipes again but I am not versed in water pumps and don’t know the cause of why this has happened twice. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
