Title says it all. I've been on a journey of binging through the music of Billy, Ka, Navy Blue, etc. Since all of these artists are kind of underground and niche, I'm wondering where you guys go to dig deeper and find other, newer, underground artists in this scene. I feel like it's a pretty incestuous pool so just bouncing from the artists like this that collaborate together makes it hard to expand.

I really resonate with Billy and Navy Blue the most. Trying to find more to expand my playlists. Would love pointers on where I can stay in tune with what's happening and who is on the come up.

Peace!

I have thought this for a long time but now that she has released a new album and I would honestly like your opinions on this theory.

First of all, Tyla has been presented as a humungous star despite all of the falcies that have popped up in her career, such as her projects underperforming significantly compared to her so-called following. Her last EP sold just 3,000 copies in the first week.

She can't chart on the Billboard charts with any of her singles but yet has won two Grammy Awards (in a category that was only created the year that her debut album came out).

She doesn't tour, only makes festival appearances.

She also can't speak at all about her music or career goals/identity/etc in any interview she does.

So what is my theory? In this era of AI music becoming a major point of conversation and the idea that record labels would benefit from replacing real human artists with AI music, it is my theory that Tyla could be a concept/experiment for AI music. She's essentially a modern day Milli Vanilli, a marketable face for AI music to test the waters and warm up the masses for AI music.

Take a look at the lyrics of her new album, full of errors that seem like AI slop.

This is just a theory of course, and I'm curious your thoughts on this topic and if you think there are other artists that would fit this mold.
