Does VSI score really reflect ability when subtest results vary this much?

I got a score of 125 on spatial reasoning, a 130 on visual puzzles and 145 on block counting. Cognitive metrics averaged out my VSI to 140. How exactly does averaging work on these tests. Visual spatial thinking is one of my most comfortable modes of thinking but 140 doesn't seem like an accurate representation of my true VSI, I feel like it must be lower.

Can working memory be the bottleneck holding back higher cognitive performance?

I haven't completed all of the tests so my WMI isn't showing up yet but I scored only 85 on digit span. I've completed all of the tests in VSI and I got a score of 145 on block counting, 130 in visual puzzles, and I got a 125 in spatial awareness but I completely missed a few questions that I only found a solution to a second before my time went out. I believe that my score is suffering due to my poor working memory capabilities. I have such a hard time holding onto information so if I lose focus for just a moment everything disappears and I have to do everything all over again.

I believe I got such a high score on block counting because I didn't have to use my working memory as much because I could just count all of the blocks visible and figure out the rest in a procedural kind of way. I've been depressed and doomscrolling endlessly all day for 5 years now, I'm hoping that my current baseline is lower than my full potential. I tried the QRI ones but I was having an extremely difficult time because I wasn't able to hold on to anything so I gave up after the second to third question to try again later when feeling mentally sharper.

I'm really hoping that abstinence from short form media and using my working memory daily will improve it at least a little bit. I'm currently learning how to program in JavaScript, and recently started practicing mental math and reading books, what other activities would you guys suggest I fit into my daily routine?

Edit: Also I forgot to mention that my forward digit span was in the 15.9th percentile but my digit span backwards was in the 50th percentile. I have no idea why that would be, have you guys got any idea?
