New Slide In Electric Range Suggestions?

We have a 9 year old Whirlpool we paid $1700 back then & now one of the burners is on hot the highest no matter what setting you put the knob. Our repair guy said that he thinks it's from spill overs and whatever else cleaning that got the knob wet. I didn't realize that or would've switched to the old school ones with the knobs up top in the back, but we have backsplash that we already configured with the slide in.

Every one I have looked at has all kinds of problematic reviews. LG, KitchenAid. Saw posts here about the Samsung catching fire, all of these seem to have problematic knobs that almost turn the oven on themselves unless you keep the oven on lock. 😔

Also, I am not doing induction. I'm not buying all new cookware and etc. Is an LG slidein that bad? It's basically spending $1500-$2000 with the warranty for an oven that I don't see any brand that is the clear winner. Thank you for your help.
