Sleep trained baby - night wake ups
My baby is 6.5 months. He was sleep trained at 4 months. He takes 3 naps a day and oveall he falls asleep well and stays asleep and all is generally good.
However, from the start, the night sleep included a dream feed around midnight and he almost every night woke up to nurse around 3 30 am. 5 nights out of the week roughly. I thought that was fine and he was still so little. I assumed that over time the nights he didnt wake up would increase.
The opposite happened, about a month ago he started waking up at 3 30 and then again roughly at 5 30. The nights he doesnt wake up at all are long gone. We somehow went from no wake ups or 1 wake up at night to 2 wake ups nightly.
I have a "sleep trained" baby but I'm up 3 times between midnight and morning and its taking a toll on me. Any advice?
I try feed him more during the day but he is nursing so it hard to tell and of course you cant force them if they dont want to eat. I assumed solids might help but it made no difference.
He is roughly 2.25/2.5/2.75/3 (he is the youngest of 3 and sometimes we have to adjust to accommodate the oldest but we dont stray far). Sleeps in his own room. Has a solid bedtime routine (book, nursing, lullabies).
