Teammate’s icon is stuck on my sequence in Team Projects (v26.2.2) – They closed Premiere hours ago, but I’m locked out on Windows 11. Help!
Hey everyone,
A bit stumped with a workflow issue today and hoping someone has a workaround.
My colleague and I are working out of a shared Team Project (just the two of us), and suddenly I am completely unable to edit on our main timeline. It acts as if it’s locked or read-only.
Here is the exact issue and what we’ve checked:
The Glitch: My teammate’s user login icon is still showing on the sequence, even though they explicitly closed out of Premiere completely before I even launched it on my end.
Timing & Access: They aren't even at their computer right now, so there is zero overlap in active sessions. Premiere just refuses to release their ghost session.
Sync Status: Everything is 100% published and up to date on both ends. No pending changes.
We've tried restarting Premiere, logging out and back into Creative Cloud, and rebooting the machines, but their icon just won't disappear and let me take over the edit.
Has anyone encountered this phantom cloud lock glitch in this build? Any ideas on how to force Premiere to drop their session and realize the sequence is free?
System Specs:
OS: Windows 11 (Fully up to date)
Premiere Version: 26.2.2
Footage Format: N/A (Happening across the board regardless of media type)
