Back in late 2022, that was when I really got introduced to perfumes, especially niche ones. My first real exposure was Maison Francis Kurkdjian, and like many, my first MFK was Baccarat Rouge 540, back when it did not feel like everyone was wearing it yet. Out of pure curiosity, I blind bought a decant of Oud Satin Mood because I wanted to understand oud. First sniff, I was not impressed. It felt too strong, too masculine, and not something I imagined wearing daily. For me, it was not satin at all, more velvety, heavy, and intimidating. Then came November 2022. I wore it to the cinema one night and could not stop smelling myself. I probably looked ridiculous, but I kept thinking, I smell so good. That was the moment it finally clicked for me.

Fast forward to yesterday at Zara. My boyfriend sprayed a perfume on his skin and asked me to smell it. One sniff in and it immediately sent me into an instant flashback. I swear, Fierce Love immediately reminded me of Oud Satin Mood. Same cozy, addictive, why do I smell this good kind of vibe. Correct me if I am wrong, but this really feels like Zara’s take on Oud Satin Mood, and I am honestly shocked in the best way. Anyone else tried Fierce Love and got the same impression?
