Advise/Tips for Overweight Runners

I’ve always wanted to get into running, but have always been really big and had no discipline towards it. This year I’ve begun. It’s nothing impressive but I am jogging/walking a mile in about 12 minutes and would like to build to 5k distance in 30 minutes before mid-August.

I’m looking for any advice/tips/tricks from more experienced runners but particularly (previously :))overweight runners.

FWIW, I’m 6’3 and 360lbs in Missouri weather.
