Neighborhoods + COL in Ann Arbor
Hi!!
I'm currently debating whether or not to accept a job at University of Michigan and relocate to Ann Arbor from the west coast. The salary doesn't give me too much to work with unfortunately, so I'm wondering what options I might have in the city housing-wise.
I'm okay with living with roommates, and I would say the most important things to me are proximity to campus (not sure if my car is going to make the cross-country trip tbh) and general walkability. I would really love to be able to walk/bike to run all my everyday errands. I'm in my late 20's and I don't care deeply about being near bars or a night-life scene, just want some more convenience in my day-to-day life. That being said, the research I've done so far hasn't looked too promising 😭 Wondering if anyone had good suggestions on which neighborhoods I should look into that would be semi-affordable with roommates and could be doable without a car?
