Has anyone progressed into Year 3 while still having 1–2 Year 1 modules pending?

Hi everyone!!
I’m currently feeling helpless, hopeless, lost and under a lot of pressure, so I would really appreciate some advice from anyone who has experienced something similar before...
I’m currently hoping to progress into the next Year 3 intake as soon as possible, but my situation is quite complicated because I still have 1–2 Year 1 modules pending/resit exams to clear.
I wanted to ask if anyone here has ever been allowed to progress into Year 3 while still having 1–2 Year 1 modules uncleared. (appeal for progression)
Were you allowed to continue first and clear the pending modules later, or did you have to wait for the next intake before progressing?
I’m honestly under immense pressure because I really have to get into the Year 3 intake as soon as possible.
Would a letter from my psych be beneficial in this kind of appeal or progression situation? And who would be the best person to approach for proper advice?
Admin, Programme Leader, Head of Admin, Registry, or someone else?
If anyone has gone through something similar before, or knows who I should speak to, I would really appreciate any advice or experience sharing. Thank you so much !!!
p.s. preferably tech students because they seem to be treating tech students more differently than other majors 😮💨
