Weaving a wall?

This plants starting to get super long, but i dont really want to cut and replant it i like it where it is but its starting to take up too much swim space stretching into the open area.

Is there a way I could weave it together so it almost forms a living wall or matt against that side wall? If so how? Can I do it in tank or is it easier to take it out, do it and re planting or do I need to buy a net to weave or tie it to.

At the moment its being pinned back by my feeding tube for my shrimp.

My first saddle or weird colouring

Noticed one of my red cherries looking a bit different with the light behind it.

Is this a saddle? Am i going to finally get babies? Or is this just weird colouring? Or is it something else I need to worry about ?

Is there a test you can get to find out what minerals are in your water?

All my numbers are great, and holding stable, but i keep loosing shrimp to failed moults, or they die shortly after.

The only thing I can think of is that there's the wrong minerals in the water, but because it only shows how much of everything, I can't tell specifically what mineral is high or low
