Making friends being 30M

Hey , I moved to Malta for a Job opportunity and I have noticed that it is hard to create friendships with people and I noticed a lot of people struggle too.

I am on my 30’s M and I am from europe . I am not the person to stay inside and i also don’t drink which I feel narrows the plans but I dont see as a bad thing as I prefer to look after myself . If you like having coffee , go for a walk or a run , have a chat or just take a few pics, feel free to DM . Malta is an awesome place but sometimes I feel the need to yap and if I talk to myself I get weird looks 🤣

I live in the Msida/ Taxbiex border

Where to find 0 or 1 eggs in Malta ?

Hello , Where can I find eggs that are 0 and 1?

I found them on LIDL but they were insanely expensive . Anyone that raises chickens or a farmer with good prices?

Talinnja logic

Hey, just wondering about if you guys think this makes sense.

Talinnja 7 days card works on Airport Direct and TD13 with no extra charge

Locals can't use it without payment

There are a few services that would make the locals life easier and the Airport Direct helps a lot if you live near the airport and work on Sliema for example...

Working near the AirPort (Where to stay ?)

Hello there , I am moving to Malta next week and I will be working next to the AirPort . I like having some decent coffee and restaurants around and a place with some social life , dating , etc . Ideally i was looking for not more than 30 minutes on the bus to the place . After a bit of researching reddit , YouTube and chatgpt , i made a top3

1 - Valetta (seems great and social - 3 buses that take around 20/30mn)
2- Floriana (less bus options but seems cheaper )
3- Paola ( good connections and services)

I also understand buses are a nightmare in the island . Since i am taking buses to the AirPort , can i expect it to be calmer on peak hours ? I was thinking that most likely only people that are going to / from the AirPort will take this route.

Thanks !

Malta public transport

Tallinja - This has gone too far. What commuters are experiencing on Malta’s buses today is unacceptable, and the situation has clearly worsened since the introduction of free bus travel without the necessary planning or capacity to support it.

This is completely unacceptable

Public transport in Malta has become a daily nightmare.

Buses are dangerously overcrowded—far beyond any reasonable or safe capacity. People are packed tightly together in heat, sweat, and chaos, unable to move or even breathe properly. Yet drivers still shout “move back” and continue letting more passengers on.

This is not just uncomfortable. It’s unsafe.

As a unemployed person i hate the Weekend

You won't have feedback from job applications or interviews, you won't have interviews and it just reminds you that there isn't much purpose in your life. This is the first time I am unemployed and it made me realize that weekdays are much better than weekends because at least you feel your life is moving in weekdays.

Como reclamar da segurança social ?

Bom dia ,

Obrigada 🙏
