S1000R K47 2017 – Oil change before or after

Hi everyone,
I’m about to buy a 2017 S1000R with around 25,400 km (15,800 miles).
The last service and oil change were done at BMW in September 2023, at 24,455 km. Since then, the bike has only covered around 900 km and has been stored in a garage for almost three years, with the battery kept on a tender.
The bike is running normally and the maintenance history is documented.

I have about 170 km (105 miles) to ride to get it home. I was originally planning to change the oil immediately after the ride, but given that the oil is now almost three years old, I’m wondering what you guys would do:

Would you ride the 170 km home gently and change the oil immediately afterwards, or would you change the oil at BMW before riding home?
I’m not asking whether three-year-old oil is still “perfect” — I’m mainly wondering whether you would consider those 170 km a concern mechanically, given that the bike has barely been ridden since the last oil change.

Thanks for your advice, especially from anyone familiar with the K47 engine.

Quick sound check

Hello everyone,
I am the Owner of this 2021 Trident, for a few months, every once in a while, I hear this "ticking" sound coming from the top of my engine, it's not coming every time I use the bike and the rhythm is exactly linked to the rpm. At higher rev I'm not sure to hear it...

My triumph is only 13k km with annual oil change (last on October
2025), I have a Zard full kit and K&N air filter.
Is this sound a problem in your opinion? In person the "click" seems louder.

I hope you could help me understand what is it.
Thank you so much in advance
