So I woke up this morning sick but I work solos. I told my manager I’m sick and she said I swill had to come in. No one will cover for me but I’m dizzy and falling over on the job. What do I do?
Hi. So my store closes at 8 pm bc we are a mall store and have to follow their hours. I had a customer chatting and making a purchase at. 7:59. I wasn’t mad because he was kind and my coworker was checking him out so I just started other closing tasks. The dude stayed till 8:15. Again I am not mad at this customer because he was kind, got pro, and did a pre order. What makes me mad is that at 8:05 after the mall is closed a man and his child walks in. I greet him and say “hi, just to let you know the mall is closed. If there’s something you know you want I can get it for ya and get you on your way but currently we’re trying to close up.” He stares at me like a chicken with no head and says. No we’re just browsing that’s okay. Like dude.. get out I’m closing. I say “okay that’s fine but again we are trying to close.” Then his snot nosed kid starts moving games around with no order after I JUST re alphabetized for the night. So I walk up to him and say “hi again sir. It is now 8:15 and we did just finish checking out the last customer. I’m going to have to ask you to check out as the mall had been closed for 15 minutes and the mall security needs to close up as well” the customer then calls me an asshole and leaves.
So opinions.. am I in the wrong? But also who just thinks it’s okay to browse a store AFTER THE MALL ITS IN CLOSES??? Like there’s closing time for a reason. I think if ur in there before it’s closed you’re fine just be kind like the other customer. But yeah both vent and AITA ig?
