First Long Trip Completed - Thoughts

2022 Bolt EUV. Completed our first vacation with a good amount of driving. The drive back is 441 miles (the longest section of our trip). I used premium ABRP and used my free trial of Onstar to connect to ABRP. Southeast Nebraska to Southwest Missouri.

My first complaint - ALL THE CHARGING APPS, good lord. I underestimated how many I would have to download because you cannot tap pay at most stations.

2nd complaint - if you arent using plug share to double check if the charger is available/in working condition, then you will have a headache. We didn't run into this on our way there, but on the way back was rough. One charger was out of order and we had just enough to get to a slow charger. Then use reduced speeds to get to a fast charger. Another one was being used, so we had to just wait till they were done.

3rd complaint - It seriously added around 5 hours over the whole trip for charging.

Pro - we saved on gas $ by a good amount (trade off via time spent charging)

Overall, I loved the way she drove/performed. It was just really inconvenient to charge and deal with charger availability/usability. Definetly will just spend the extra on gas money for the convienece on long hauls next time, but I wanted to give it a try. If your in it for the trip itself and arent in a hurry to get to your destination, it isnt awful. Otherwise, use the Bolt as intended - a daily commuter.
