Wore to a black tie wedding for a family member several years ago. When I got it, the sales woman assured me it wasn’t too white or inappropriate, but I’ve wondered ever since if I made a mistake…
EDIT: agree that if this had been a *real* black tie wedding, this wouldn’t be sophisticated enough. But this was a fake black tie wedding - the bride really just wanted men in tuxes.
