Allergic reaction to co-amoxiclav. Pls help me relieve the pain/swelling.
28F, normal BMI, nil known allergies. PMH: scoliosis, sacral nerve stimulator for urinary retention. On sertraline 150mg OD for depression.
So I had surgery on Monday and was given abx to prevent infection. Noticed a single give yesterday morning, which rapidly spread over the day. I saw the out of hours GP and he swapped my abx, and gave me some Benadryl. The Benadryl is mildly helping the itch but the swelling on my hands and feet is SO PAINFUL. Been icing them, using camomile lotion.
I last took the abx over 24hrs ago but it doesn’t seem to be getting any better, can I do anything else?
