I've been involved with unrequited love for a year or two and it's finally changing
I (17F) got a crush on someone (17M), we'll call him Angus, in October the year before last. It hit me out of nowhere and I didn't want it at all. Mainly because he has a gf and I refuse to break that. Especially bc they are happy together. So I tried to ignore it and it stayed. It didn't fade, or leave and it hurt to watch them. He's even left school while I am still in school and it was there for ages. But I think it's finally being over-ridden. We've had a couple new students this year and one of them, we'll call Harvey (I think 17M), has caught my eye. And unlike Angus, there's things I can talk to Harvey about, like his little sister, his cats, I was also included in a conversation with him just today. I really think I'm finally free from the unrequited love and it already feels amazing. Yes Angus is still there, but Harvey is pushing him to the side for me, so I won't have the hurt anymore.
This was pretty short but I really wanted to talk about this.
