Volume Issue on Dell
Hello, all! I have a 2-3 year old basic Dell that has some issues. I thought I might crowdsource some troubleshooting ideas before taking it in to someone. I'm not much of a techie, but I can follow instructions pretty well 😁 TIA for ideas/help!
My USB drives have never been able to read anything plugged into them. It will charge a phone or other device but doesn't register it as a device that the computer can interact with. I have reset it to factory settings twice without solving the issue.
Recently, in the last week, if the computer goes to sleep when it wakes up it cannot play audio. Initially it said in settings that it didn't have an audio device (wasn't registering internal speakers), but now it shows the volume icon adjusting but does not have any audio output. In internal speakers nor bluetooth speakers that are connected. As far as I know, nothing was changed to make this issue start.
Those are the two that are most pressing. Some others are just quirks that I've learned to live with. Again, TIA!
